So nothing came of the chocolate lab. It's ok. We're still looking. I emailed tonight about this handsome fellow named Calix who desperately needs a home.

Miss New Stray Cat's prints are on the right. Some sort of lion's prints are on the left. They are too big for even Mr Bad Attitude Cat.
Maybe Buddy came for a visit.

Ha! Who knows what Buddy gets up to when I'm at work. I think Banjo, Speckla, and Coilynapp have cats that are bigger than Buddy? Maybe they flew over, lol.

Jess, I'm sorry about the lab, but I hope it works out with Callix.

Why couldn't I think if a cool name like Chris P Bacon?!

I just had my nighttime play session with Lily. She's high energy and full of tortitude, so she has to have play sessions. She and Buddy has just had a good wrestling session, but she was still wound up. We were having a ball with the mouse wand toy. When Lily would get winded, I'd let Buddy have a go at it. He's not much for chasing it, but he'll give a great one-pawed grab-and-chomp move.

Lily was having her second chasing session. She leaps well, so I had her doing some leaps. We got carried away. She leapt up, spun mid-air, and landed right in the open garbage bin. It was hilarious.

That little lady has to have the play sessions, though. She'll get aggressive towards Buddy and me if I don't drain off some of her abundant energy.

uuhhhh...Brandi says Buddy is way bigger than she is.

She does have big paws though (well, bigger than Chui anyway..although I think that just may be fluff because when I wash her she is a scrawny little thing)

When she was little, I used to have long play sessions with her when I got home from grad school. She too was super high energy--slept all day, buzzed all night. I had to lock her out of my room at night and remove her bell because I swear her nighttime was just running around in the house. Chui was high energy, but I had both Brandi and Onyx (my beloved pit/lab) to drain him, so I didn't have to pay high "cat taxes" as I did with Brandi.

I still play with them and the love the laser. Chui can jump as high as the door peep hole when we play laser. It's hilarious.

I would have loved to see Lilly's hilarious leap!

Aww, no offense to Brandi, lol.

I did think someone here had a 30 pounder. Maybe?

Chui can jump!

It's fun to think of a big dog playing games with the cat!

Good too see Lily may be less crazy as she gets older. She's still pretty young. On the upside, she makes Buddy run. Lord knows he could use it. I love seeing his big butt do the pre-pounce wiggle before tackling Lily.

I'm glad that the two have good playtime. Buddy also wails about 95% less than he used to. No more sad, lonely Buddy.

No 30 pounders here. I think Dora might be close to the same size as Buddy. I haven't weighed her in a while, maybe I should find out.

There are healthy big cats out there too. The SO & his bud were scouting for turkey (I think) about 2 years ago and saw a bobcat in a field not too far from a house. They kept an eye on it and got closer and closer. When they got close to the house the owner was there watching them, it was his pet cat. Just overly large and looking like a wild thing. Just like wolf/dog or coyote/dog crosses we come across there are wild cat/domestic cat crosses out here sometimes. I've always suspected Doodle is one of them. He has skin for a bigger cat, even when he was a kitten his skin was just too big for him, not to mention his wild/predator streak that I've never seen in a domestic cat before. Eh, who knows.

Leave it to Jeepy to find a way to somehow photograph feet/paws/footprints, even in winter.
