Lol! No, that was his consolation prize. It's the basket on the hearth next to my desk. He did win yesterday (Saturday was the picture) when he got behind Dora and flopped on her. She was P*SSED!

Haha *snorts* gardening!

This morning I actually told Salem, "leave him alone he's not touching you!" When Doodle wanted to watch the hummingbirds. She's looking a little P-d (black one on the right).

The reason he couldn't watch in his usual spot: Hedwig was in the basket right next to it. He can't resist attacking her and knows he'll get in trouble since mama's in the room (apparently when she's not in the room it's ok ).

I think my kitten has a hidden stash of catnip somewhere, she's on one this morning.

My boys keep bugging me about bathroom cat. They want me to let bathroom cat in the house. I'm very tempted. But I'm still debating on if she has an owner nor not. She's extremely timid and I think I seen the neighbors petting her. Her only distinguishing characteristic is her tail and it was out of sight at the time. If she has an owner, they don't take very good care of her. I just don't know about her. She's obviously not feral. She's too fascinated with people for that, but she's unusually timid for a pet. It's just so weird having a cat that's not mine, that I'm not feeding spending all day and night in my yard and windows.

A few of my favorites

There's one weird thing about bds that scares the crap out of new owners. When the lights go out, they will crash immediately where ever they are. This results in some VERY odd sleeping positions that look just OMG how??? It's like their bones dissolve or something. here are a few are a few examples:

yes, he slept like that all night hanging from a string

Curious . . . how did she come to be called Bathroom Cat if she's not yours and hasn't been inside? Sorry if I missed an earlier explanation - thread's too long to go hunting

There's been a black and white cat that has spent an awful lot of time in my yard for years. It seems to be fascinated by something in my flower bed and loves to sit on the fence and tease my little terrier. I never have been able to pet the cat, though if I talk quietly to it, it stays right there and doesn't run. Has no collar. Never have been able to figure out who it belongs to. I've never fed it, but someone obviously does or it's a very good hunter.

We have really wide windowsills on the outside. She got dubbed bathroom cat because she spends hours a day in that window and sleeps there every night. She's a stray or slightly neglected pet that appeared a few months ago and immediately claimed that as her window, and she's been there every day since. Occasionally I see her in one of the neighbor's windows, but she spends probably 90% of her day our yard and windows watching us. We're like her favorite soap opera. If we go outside, she watches us from a distance. If we leave our car windows down, she'll sleep in our back car window. One time she even went to work with my husband because he didn't see her in the car until he got to work. That's a 15 minute drive. She wasn't freaked out at all. She acted like it was the most normal thing in the world. We can talk to her and get close through the window, if we put our hand up she'll sniff it. But she won't let us get close to her outside even with food bribery. It is so weird.

Bathroom Cat sounds a lot like Carpark Cat at work. It sits amongst the cars but if you get too close it'll run to the other side of the car park and then slowly approach and have a sniff.

Ed was on guard last night. Some neighbourhood cats were having a fight over the dumpsters and Ed sat in the window, growling and hissing at them. He did a good job defending the place from the second floor apartment we live in.

I uploaded a couple of pics from my phone.

This was during our hour drive home on the day we brought her home.

This was a two hour drive from my in-law's to our house house coming back from the 4th of July. She was on my chest and fell asleep.

Yesterday morning...

Last night...

just to warn you, unless you breed your own bugs, the weekly feeding cost alone is about the same as a large dog, more if you don't know where to shop. I won't get into the other stuff.

Yeah --- I just did some research, and it's not going to happen. I can't manage to feed one creature to another in live form, so.......not a good idea.

I love yours, though. What's her/his name?

Both girls. The really bright orange one is Astarte, the peach/tan one is Bane. They're hard to sex when they're small.

I breed my own bugs and I like them, they're kinda cool, but I don't have a problem feeding them. It's just the cycle of life to me.
