He is the closest thing that I have to a newborn since he's 9 lbs and won't scratch me to death. The dog was looking at me with pleading eyes, but she is 5 lbs over the 35 lb weight limit.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Wow, Fiery ---- you sure are pregnant!

Do animals act different with you (gy) when you're pregnant?

That's great FC! When that thread about baby wearers came up I considered one for Hedwig ala Bucky in Get Fuzzy. The SO & I have talked about it before. Even the "Bundle of Joy" tag.

That is the cutest!

This is an adorable baby I got to hold at church today. A family had rescued this puppy (one of five) from a hot van, and they can't afford to keep her due to pet deposits and having to pay an extra $75 a month to have another pet. I can't keep her because my dog's not great with other animals. She's 6 weeks old, and doing great with her potty training and she doesn't whine at night. She let me hold her for an hour, and was super sweet and patient with the kids who kept coming to pet her. If you live in the Dallas area and want a sweet, sweet puppy girl, please let me know, and I can contact the family who's keeping her!!!

Thanks everyone.

Ninja, yes I really am and I certainly feel like it.

I have heard some people say that their animals act different while pregnant, but mine haven't. The dog does like to sniff, paw, or nozzle up my stomach if she is cuddled up to me and feels movement. The cat doesn't care until it's time for bed. He has always come in a few minutes after I get settled in bed to sleep on my stomach or hips, but he now sleeps cuddled up beside me because he doesn't care for the movement while he was trying to go to dreamland.

When my mom was pregnant with my little sister K, my big old collie dog (called Lassie of course) would try to climb up on mom's lap all the time. She didn't like K much at first but she got used to having another kid around.

So cute! When DD1 was a baby, one of her first words was : Geegee. That's doggy, to you and me. Doggee...geegee. In fact, for a good while, everything with four legs was a geegee.
