sariroo, I literally gasped at that picture, that is amazing!

(I guess nail polish now has the power to disturb my breathing pattern.)

painting my nails is major stress relief. I usually do it sunday nights, after I finish homework, while catching up on tv.

I am no nail artist. My only artistic ability has ever been being able to paint a good straight line for a French manicure. Tonight, when I looked in my nail box to choose colors, Zoya Trixie and Finger Paints Where Art Renoir called to me. I painted on the Trixie, not knowing what to do with the Where Art Renoir. I just knew I really wanted to use it. I just bought it last week and it's a beautiful black with tiny hints of glitter. So I originally planned to just do French with them. But when I picked up the black, I was hit with a sudden inspiration. I blame it all on all of you.

It came out WAY better than I thought it would! Appropriate, considering the events of this week, I think.

What a sweetheart! My husband would never have done that for me, not nail polish! Of course, being partially color blind, I would have to have had a list of all the colors because he wouldn't be able to choose colors I like anyway.

Did you have a list of all those colors, or did he choose some too? What a haul!

Thanks! That pic was taken before the top coat while the black and the dots were still freshly wet. I let them dry a bit before putting on the top coat because I was afraid of smearing everything. The top coat makes the little imperfections almost unnoticeable. So I'm happy with it.

Definitely a good man, great stash! When you said he was going to pick a few up I pictured 5 or 10, LOL.

Nallia- That looks fantastic.

Side by side comparisons of similar polishes from the spring collections (essie, OPI, zoya).

Today I had fun with China Glaze Shower Together and some nail art decals. I love how it turned out!

This is the other Zoya nail polish I got in the free-with-shipping deal. This is Ivanka and it is lovely.
(I know, I know, it's messy)
I wish I had the patience to grow out long nails, but they irritate me.

So I finally got to polish my nails...changed my mind and used Revlon Regal Wine. It's a nice red (discontinued color).

Nallia that looks great!

Decided to paint my nails Sephora by OPI in the color Read My Palm

Later on I painted little roses in acrylic. Painted my baby sisters nails as well

I painted it freehand. I didn't think I would be able to do it, but it really wasn't any harder than painting a line for a French mani.

I really want to get the above Essie shade now. For some reason I've been imagining a really specific light coral shade and wanting to find a color like it. So I did an 'Essie coral' image search, and this is pretty much it:

Haute as Hello. A Summer 2010 color still available through Amazon fortunately.

Carousel Coral is a beautiful deeper version of this color.
