The magnets that come with the polish make lines in it when it's wet. I bought a purple and a silver color. You can see the lines better in this pic, thigh the light is bad so it doesn't show the color well.

This one shows the color a bit better:

So, I'm planning to do a Mardi Gras mani, but didn't want to wear it for a week. So I did my very first half moon mani over my Valentines mani. It was so easy even I could do a respectable job on my first try. It is not the best color combo, but I was starting with the red and wanted to experiment. Rimmel Purple Rain over OPI Big Apple Red.
I tried to buy a Claire's magentic polish. But I just couldn't pull the trigger on a 10$ teeny tiny bottle. I'm a cheepskate.

Cheapskate tip: I've read that you can do your first coat of a similar colored polish and then do only the second coat of the magnetic polish. That way the magnetic polish lasts longer.
Also, I think I've read the Icing stores magnetic polish is a little cheaper then the Claire's polish. It is the exact same polish.

OK. This thread has made me lose my mind. I think I have 11 new polishes coming from Avon (not including base and top coats - which will be firsts for me using).

I have pictures of my toes and fingers from previous polishings but my phone was having problems posting pics before. I will get on my phone and post the pictures in a bit.

I'm so excited for my polishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mix of 3s, thick, coarse, medium porosity

Current hair styling technique: rake with a scrunch at the end. (works with my coarse hair)

pw: curls

Known HGs: KCCC, homemade fsg, honey
My photos:

I don't know the name of the polish on my fingers but it's Avon Tangtastic on my toes.

I tried the dots. I used tangtastic as the base, sunshine (yellow), and I'm not sure about the red dots, all the colors are Avon. BTW- the two fingers are the only fingers that looked ok.

My day of blues. They were so pretty. I loved the way these colors turned out.

Me and my nephew using a purpley color that was a Sinful polish. It came out matte which I really liked. It peeled easily though. No likely that.

Dang it all. I have a boat load of new polishes to try but my old manicure is still in nearly perfect shape! Maybe I should go do a bunch of dishes and transplant some plants without wearing gloves. : )

made up of 98.822% silliness!!

Curlyminx- love the dots and your nephew's toes.

A.Love- I may have to pick up blonde bombshell. Pretty.

Mardi gras nails. This is my first attempt at scotch tape stripes, and not bad. I've figured out I can use tape vertically on my very curved nails. Tape doesn't lie flat enough when I try to go horizontally. I tried sponging glitter on just the tips, but ended up putting it on the whole nail. I used my nails too soon and messed up the tips. Oh well, they only have to last through Tuesday. Milani Good Morning Sunshine (gold), Revlon Emerald City (green), Wet n Wild Disturbia (purple), and Tropez Sassy (gold sparkle).

I love seeing my nephews toes. They are so cute. Thanks for the dots compliment. I'm serious that those two fingers were the only good ones.

You must have read my mind about the stripes because I was thinking about trying that! Yours turned out great!!!
