I have been crazy busy with things at home but am able to get on today and post a picture of my nails that I did for St. Petrick's day... that's what my husband calls it because its HIS birthday LOL ( when he was little he thought every was making a big deal out of his birthday and saying his last name wrong, He would tell them its PEEEE TRICK, not Patrick. ) Anyways, I used China glaze Water melon rind on the tips of my nails, over that I sponged Hi-Def by Sally Hansen and over the entire nail I put Perge by LA Girl Glitter Addict. I got lots of compliments these past few days with this look. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7050/6...1053b0b1_m.jpg

Ring finger is Saly Hansen Insta Dri in Flashy Fuschia with Kleancolor in Chunky Holo Purple on top (neither chunky nor purple but still pretty).
Thumb is Kleancolor in Vegas Night.
Other fingers are Kleancolor in Neon Sapphire (nothing neon about it but a pretty deep dark blue creme).
Then I washed all my windows inside and out, cleaned the patio and porch and got all the furniture out. And my new manicure survived well!

http://www.missbanjo.net/images/100_1767.jpg
Sea creature on my nails. There's so much depth that you can't see in pictures. I haven't posted a pic yet because I was trying to get a good one. Yea right.

I want sea creature!!!
My nails are short as can be right now and peeling badly but I finally painted them anyway. I needed to feel better about them. I picked up this color on clearance. It's a really nice neutral. Revlon Smoky Canvas.
Ignore my mistreated cuticles too. Spring cleaning is taking its toll.
My fat thumb will make mistakes.

Oooh me 3!
So I become mesmerized by my nails again this morning. And I notice an index finger looks lifted up. They all peeled off! I've been kicking around the idea of getting an anchor base coat for touch ups, guess I need to. Huh!

Mine tend to peel off and look like press-on nails if I don't use a base coat.

I am becoming as much a nail polish and makeup PJ as I used to be a hair product PJ. I recently bought 6 China Glaze colors. I went to try the dark purple one last night only to realize that it was a crackle polish. I had just painted my daughter's nails, so I grabbed her light purple sparkle polish and used it as a base coat before putting on the dark purple crackle. Talk about epic fail!!!! I don't know what I did wrong, but it is uneven and looks really messy. Definitely not for this 46-year-old! I can't wait to take it off tonight and try another color.

swatches of Beach and Surf, including Zuza
http://sun-driedlacquer.blogspot.com...h?q=zoya+beach
Essie Smooth Sailing mini. And I couldn't leave well enough alone so I added a Wet n Wild kaleidoscope gradient and then added the ill advised Essie pure pearlfection layer to the gradient.

I love Pure Pearlification. I've put it over lots of stuff and loved it every time. Once my nails get longer I'll have to try that. It looks great!
I got all 6 of my new Zoyas today! I'm so excited. I could probably go a few more days with the Revlon polish but I want to try my new stuff.
From left to right is Laney, Tangy, Raven, Adina, Maisie, and LA Pop. Tonight I'll be trying Maisie over Raven.

Someone complimented my French manicure, which is hilarious since I'm wearing naked nails. It was a dude though, so he can't be expected to know better.
It does make me think that one sees French manicures more often than natural nails that have tips.

OK, ladies. Here's a practice nail. Does it look fiery? It's for the Hunger Games movie, to put it in context. Fire and coal.
