So I've been lurking on here and it inspired me. I paint my own toes but never my hands because they turn out terrible and only last a the couple of days. I bought this magnetic force polish today to use on my toes but the effect wasn't very noticeable except on my big toe so I went for it and painted my fingers too. The effect takes 15 seconds and the polish dries quick which I liked. Here's a pic but I hope it's not too big.

I have on a homemade polish that I made up yesterday. Its my first one that I did using pigments and glitters that I bought just to make my own colors up. I got interested in the Indy polish like Dollish Polish they have on Etsy. It has a nice holographic effect going on. these are pictures of it in different lighting but to see it in person, its like having a rainbow of colors flashing when I move my hands! I was stopped by 4 girls when I was out shopping the other day complementing my nails and wanting to know where I got it, what brand I had on.

Also I made up a few nail polish jewelry. My niece is in heaven with all the earrings I made up! Also my sons girlfriend wants me to make her a ring and necklace for Prom in a few weeks as well as custom made polish for her. I have been having FUN to say the least! http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5160/6...55bccae9_m.jpg

So I attempted to do the really cute cloud nail art that someone here had posted, and it was a disaster So bare nails right now.
Zoya is trying to kill my wallet. This earth day promotion? the beach and surf collection? omg...and I got one of my friends addicted too! so now we're combining orders to save on shipping
I ordered tangy, astra, akyra, kimber, and chloe (the fleck effect). I'm so excited!

great color, Kami.
I THINK I'm finally seeing some progress on growing out/getting rid of the peeling. Still using the Citra treatment, and yesterday I cut them short, hopefully taking off the last of the peels.
Then I gave in to my desire for some subtle color already and went with Essie's Ballet Slippers. I hope this doesn't reverse the progress.

We had a huge birthday party for my dad last night with a beach bum theme, so I did these little palm trees with sparkly sand for the occasion.
I didn't think I could paint so small with any kind of accuracy with my left hand, so I pre-made the trees as DIY stickers (on a freezer bag: layer of clear polish, trees, then another layer of clear. Let dry completely, and they peel right off!) and just painted the sand, sky and clouds on my nails. I placed my dry trees where I wanted them while my nails were still tacky (not wet but not really dry), and then finished with a final layer of topcoat.
There's definitely a learning curve when trying to apply the DIY stickers, but once you get the hang of it, they are pretty easy. They are VERY delicate and want to stick to your nail, so it helps to use tweezers to peel them off the bag, and nail scissors to trim the excess clear polish so that it doesn't hang over the edge of your nail when you put them on. I made about 18 little trees in varying sizes so I could pick and choose the 10 best ones to actually use.

I almost passed on this Zoya promotion, but I caved in! I had a hard time chosing my colors, I like way to many! I narrowed my list down to 6. I got Meg, Zuza, Adina,Happi, Crystal, and Gemma. I almost got Kotori instead of Crystal, but I let my niece chose between the 2 and she picked crystal. I just hope my order comes while my husband is still asleep. Sometimes its nice that he works nights, 2 nail mails have gone undetected!
