OPI Pros & Bronze http://i47.tinypic.com/lb2uo.jpg

RCC, I saw the Deborah Lippman polishes on HSN but didn't watch very closely because the one time I spent more on nail polish (for two OPIs) I was disappointed. This really isn't better than cheap nail polish - maybe a little better than the super cheap ones... Are all of DL's "jelly polishes" or just certain ones? I can't tell from the descriptions on the website. Also do you notice a difference with formaldhyde free (That line is.)? Are they supposed to stink less or what is the difference?

I want an opaque milk chocolate nail polish. I saw it someone and haven't been able to find this color anywhere.

Not all Lippmann polishes are jelly finishes. Jelly is just a certain type of look like a cream or a shimmer.

I only use 3free products. My nails yellow easily with formaldehyde stuff. But, most polishes are formaldehyde free now. Some have formaldehyde resin, which is different, IIRC.

Would this brown work?

PH, I guess we'll be the guinea pigs and see how it works out!

PS It's just two polishes and some sort of scrub.

Ooooh yes, those are very pretty! I've never heard of Nubar. I doubt any stores around here carry those brands but I may try to find them online if I can't find anything around here similar. Just love that color!

I use mostly Nubar since it seems to work well with me, but I do have to order it or find it on eBay and stuff like that. Look up their Chocolate Truffles collection. It's a whole bunch of browns.

Oooooh, I've always loved Essie Mink Muffs!

On my toes I'm wearing Melon of Troy by OPI. Love the name!

I knew you would! I'm hoping to hear about a cheaper dupe soon.
Santorum:

Pretty close! Doesn't appear to be a matte though.

It'd definitely deeper and more appealing. The Orly is too shimmery of a brown for me. Says the glitter lover.

My go-to brown is OPI's Suzi Loves Cowboys.

That Santorum looks like... No actually I like the matte one a lot. I gather from amazon that you can choose either. Pricey though. You guys are dangerous. :-P I found out my Wal-mart store has the Essie one so I'm probably getting it - that's the exact shade I wanted. But, I'm definitely keeping Santorum on my radar! Thanks ya'll for the recs!

It's a matte NorahBugg, they just put a shiny top coat on it for the swatches.
I think all or most of theirs are since they advertise for men: "The Original Manly Matte Nail Finish - Formulated For Ugliness"

China Glaze Naked, Pure Ice Spit Fire, and Sally Henson Ring-a-Ding! I attempted to match my polish with a fire opal pendant.

On that note, I need a glitter polish with a touch more blue in it, and a lighter touch while fading it. Lol. It was my first attempt.

I read something like that on the amazon page - made rough for a man or something like that :-O I'm not really in on the whole background of this - I know about the sexual reference but don't get the whole schtick of the line. I've seen men wear nail polish but wouldn't think many men who wear it would be seeking manly polish. DK.

I can never put a top coat over polish w/o removing the polish or messing it up. I like the matte but I like having the option of a gel look.

Will do. With a tan, I'm not sure how it will look with my skintone. I'm seeing how dark I'm getting already and don't want it blending in with my skin! I'm pondering a darker shade. I can see the Essie for example flattering a fair skinned person more than than my medium skin. I tan extremely easily. The Pros&Bronze is already matching my skin and I've gotten like 30 mins tops of sun in the past few days (with an SPF 50).

I usually wear a shimmery pink on my toes and my fingers bare. I'm very minimalistic but have been loving all your pics! What flatters a medium or medium-tan skintone? Plum? I can't do blue or anything "wild." I looked at Kroger's polishes today. All they have is Revlon and I couldn't see most of the colors looking good on me. Wal-mart.com has a brownish-red from Sally Hansen I'm considering.
