Nallia, your mani reminds me of one I did awhile ago. Yours looks so much better. I was very impatient trying to get the glitter on and gave up quickly.

I rarely paint my finger nails, but this is my toe color right now and it is really nice. Fire engine red with just a hint of orange. Perfect to warm up a tan in skin for summer!

^ Aw thanks. It's chipping already. I only have 1 coat but have a base coat. Guess I expected more from an $8 polish.

I could do some of the blue-greens and pinks like the Zoyas I see here but they're a lil much for the office. I love the pinky-orangy reds like Essie Watermelon and Walgreens had a fab Mango shade (SH brand I think). My skin's too golden/warm. I'm rethinking RCC's suggestion - gold. I saw a gorgeous Wet n Wild gold shade with lots of flecks of color. I have to pass on a lot of colors I like because with work, they'll be relegated to my toes.

Borghese Rapido. This brand lasts a long time on me. Unfortunately, the last time I was in Rite Aid it had been removed from the shelf.

These are the colors I have:
Lira, Chroma, and Limoncello (my favorite and one I plan to use in soon).

Sorry about the sideways pic. I was too lazy to rotate. Lol. If you ever have metallic in mind (I think they did have some flat colors as well) and spot this... you might want to give it a go. The gold is beautiful on. Its on the thicker side but still easy to work with. I always do 2 coats of it.

*note* everything looks a bit darker than it actually is in this pic.

It was nice and sunny out today so I got a few good pictures of my HITS Hefesto ( a holographic top coat) over Zoya Skylar. I also took some in the shade and inside in normal lighting just to show what the polish looks like.

inside under normal lighting

outside in the shade

So I think Hefesto is nothing but magical! I can now turn any polish I have into a Holo! I do not think this will stop my holo obsession, I am about to order 3 Nfu Oh's holo polishes. I think I have an addiction!

I've never tried the Aqua base, but the buffer sure did work better than my base. If you're getting the Aqua base, I probably wouldn't bother with the buffer. Everything I've read has it working pretty well.

Holos do have a shorter wear time, though. It'll be interesting to see how your holo coat wears.

Oh, and if you get Mermaid Spell (the lighter blue) or Ocean Rush, (the darker blue in my pics) I'd love to hear how they compare with your Skylar/Hephesto combo.

I just took my polish off. The side without topcoat came off like a breeze. I had that hand done in about a minute. The hand with topcoat took a normal amount of time to remove.

The topcoat side did hold up better to wear than the non topcoat side, though both sides chipped. It was pretty easy to patch up chips though, much easier than with a créme. The topcoat did dull the finish a smidge, but it helped with wear.

Layla Holographic Flash Black. It's a charcoal grey base with holo.

I adore grey polish, and am stoked to have a grey holo.

The holo is strong enough to be seen at midnight in a room lit with one lamp. Can't wait to see how this looks in the sun!

I think I might have to get some holo polish this weekend. Thanks a lot, enablers.

Adorame's topcoat might be a nicer idea, lol. The Laylas are really expensive for the size.

I'm going back and forth about that, but I might end up getting the topcoats. I like the idea of being able to turn any color into a holo.

It drys fast and smooth, it almost feels like I have my Seche Vite top coat on, but I did not use any thing over the Hefesto I had heard that top coats dull the Holo effect so I just left it out. I am on day 3 and have no chipping at all. I was so wanting to do my nails in the Glitter Gal Lizard Belly, but I am waiting this one out, I want to see how long it last.
