A few weeks ago I had on rainbow nails in Zoya's polishes except my thumb in a polish I made. colors in this picture I have on my thumb my holographic top coat I made my self and calling Magical, pointer is Skylar, middle is Carly, ring is Meg and pinkie is Myrta.
I was showing my friend just what my top coat does so I put it on top of my Zoya nails for the second picture and in the sun they look like this
this is two of my polishes that I sold , Midnight Ocean is a blue polish with holographic glitters in it and Magical is the Holographic top coat that I make. My youngest son named Midnight Ocean, I made 7 of them and now have 2 left!!
Sunday I did my nails to sort of look like one of my troll beads I have or even an oil slick, I got the idea from an Inspired by Robin Moses blog/ face gook I follow. i used Orly Buried Alive for the base color and then used acrylic paints in Folk Art Metallic in Peridot, Blue Topaz, Periwinkle, and Aquamarine. I also used Perfect pearls pigments in Pewter< Blue Patina, and Heirloom Gold. I put my Magical holographic top coat on top of them to give them some sparkle in certain lighting because i was going out with friends
I am working on a few new polishes and also waiting on a few supplies to get to me, i hate waiting for things when I am inspired NOW to do things! I am also practicing a back to school nails for my niece so hopefully those turn out cute so I can post them!

I'm wearing Zoya Arizona on my fingers. It reminds me of a creamsicle. My toes are Zuza layered over Wednesday (sort of a dusty teal shimmer). Arizona is pretty but streaky. I had to do four coats but the color is bright and cheery.

Scrangie: Color Club Magnetic Force Magnetic Polish Collection Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches and Review
Obviously not my nails but I have on Color Club Magnetic Force polish in Sci-Fi. I cannot find my phone right now which is what I usually use to take pics. This is the only magnetic nail polish I could get my hands on. I just happened to find it one day in a basket of other nail polishes on an end cap so it was the only color option. I would have preferred a different color but after wearing it, it has grown on me. The only thing I don't like is it that the magnet is flat and most of my nails are fairly curved (more than the pic I posted) so the pattern doesn't really show up on the sides of most of my nails so it just looks okay. Interesting but nothing fabulous.

Just quoting to say I LOVE THIS POST AND THE COLLECTION!
I don't have Facebook and couldn't see the polishes, but this post is the WIN.
My sister saw David Cross two days ago in San Francisco. Ahhh... I wish I could write his title of being an analyst and a therapist....

^^ Nothing to do with nail polish, but RCC you just passed 16,000 posts! And the word 'butthurt' is really really funny.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Hey! I think that depends on the person, but mine are acrylics. The nail technician just used a nail clipper (like how they usually do to shorten the applied nails) and clipped them into a point. So he clipped both sides of my nails to make an angle. Then he filed them into a smooth point. The tips are not sharp BTW, they are slightly rounded so that I don't hurt myself.
Dagger nails aren't for everyone, but I'm in LOVE! Men and women have been complimenting me. Strangely enough, men have been using them as a conversation piece.
So, if you get these nails expect ppl to comment on them. Dudes think they're awesome. IDK, I LOVE them!

I did that over the summer, but freehand, because a friend sent me that exact link!
Can't post it, though. It may be up thread in the May or June timeframe.

It'd be fun to try when my nails grow long again. I just cut them down a few days ago as they got to that irritating (to me) length.

RCC, after I posted that I thought that *maybe* someone had done it already, but with my craptastic memory I also thought I could be inventing that thought. Thanks for bumping that so I could see again!

I thought it was neat because I was given the same link as inspiration. The pinking shears are a good idea for someone who doesn't want to do it freehand.
