I use Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover. I usually soak my hands first, then dry and apply right away while the skin is soft. It works much better for me that way. I rarely damage my nails with the cuticle scraper thing when I use that technique.

Milani Radiant Ruby with accents of Milani Hot Flash.
It needs another coat but looks pretty good with 2 coats.

I have the Sally H remover as well. It has really good reviews, but I have been too scared to use it. Lol. It says that you should not leave it on for more than *so many* seconds. My skin is hyper sensitive and I have been worried it might melt off or something.

I use a mango cuticle oil from Sally's or the Essie apricot oil to push them back instead.

^ Hey, liquid eyeliner once burnt the skin around my eyes. I can't be too careful.

I use Avon's cuticle remover. I wait until after a shower to do it so that my cuticles are soft. Its a cream and it works well for me.

I'm really annoyed that I'm having a problem with imageshack. I have three weeks work of nail polishes to show you guys. I'm LOVING my current one: that revlon moon art one I bought. The glitter is awesome.

And I sort of got the spotted manicure to work. It wasn't at dark overlay, but it worked well for my anti-valentine's nails. It chipped quickly though which really bummed me out. The video that was posted before this last one really helped me get it right. I "watered" my antibacterial gel down with alcohol and it was easier to spray. I also changed spray bottles to one that was for my hair instead of one that was for eyeglasses (I figured the spray was too misty).

imageshack must work NOW!

I picked up Sally's Purple Potion and What's the Mitch-uation? from the Nicole by OPI Modern Family line. Neither one are perfect, but close.

LML, thank you for posting the fyi. I need to find that magazine.

Oh, swear words. MUA Nail Board made me make a spread sheet. Now I know that I'm over 100 polishes. 109 with top coats, cuticle remover, ridge filler, etc. I did NOT need to know that. No more reds or pinks. I don't even really like pinks and reds. Why do I have so many?? No more fuchsia either (except for the 3 Pure Ice ones I have my eye on. *doh*) I liked it better when I was under 100. New goal- stay under 150.

ETA: I blame you guys!

The only cuticle remover I ever used is a hand me down bottle of Sally Hansen from my Aunt. I really like what it does for my big and pinky toe, which is where I need it. My finger nails and other toes seem just fine without it.

The base color of this polish is a very old bottle. It is missing ATM, but I think it was NYC and there was no color name. The glitter is Wet 'n Wild Kaleidoscope. I coppied something I saw on pinterest. The pinterest pic had an Essie polish pictured. It is girlier then my usual taste, but I really like it.
http://media-cache-ec7.pinterest.com...882d502d63.jpg

I never use my old bottle of polish, because it looks like it will be a frosty, brush stroke-y mess in the bottle. It is not, but it does pool a lot in the cuticles. I need to use this bottle more often.

That is great, Bretty ! I love cut outs.

I am scared to count my polishes. I refuse. Ignorance is bliss.

I cut my nails and did 2 quick coats of Estee Lauders Frozen Fantasy.

Holy cow that is totally amazing. I've told you this before, but you are my nail god.
I've eyed those nail brushes before. I'd love to hear what you think of them after you try them.

Fifi- Don't count. No mater how cool a spread sheet seems, just don't do it. Ever. Ignorance is (was) bliss.

I finally updated my spreadsheet a few weeks ago, 77, Under 100 woohoo! I felt I had to if I'm ordering from work because I really don't want to order dupes.

My nails are still bare. I got lazy and didn't do a v-day mani. I'm thinking of maybe an Ostara/Easter mani for middle of March though.

Zoya Marina. It's more gray than blue. Looks bluer in the bottle. Please don't mind my yoga socks or Heidi in the picture.

Thanks Fifi and Pedaheh!
I tried two so far, the striping brush and the pointed dotting tool. So far I love both! Before I was using sewing needles and bobby pins so I'm really excited about using tools intended for the job. My lines are crisper for it and its so much easier to do my non-dominant hand. I'm going to play around with some one stroke manicures using the flat brush next!
