The orange is kinda growing on me and I'm sad I can only represent it for Halloween. lol

The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
That's a neat orange. As neon as it is, you could wear it in the summer.

Kiva! Microfinance works.

Med/Coarse, porous curly.
That's true, it could be a great summer color.

This thread has really helped me break out and try colors I never would have. I always bought the same tones and now I have a variety that I really love!

This Essie color is really pretty, almost like a dark gray black although their description of it is "a deepest darkest sapphire".

I bought Nail Magic all in one (base and top coat) and I'm still on the fence about it. I think I'd like to try some other 3 free base coats, but this was what Sally Beauty had the day I went in. I'm always looking for a multipurpose product so I wanted top/base coat in one, but I've realized I rarely remember to put a top coat on so maybe I should just try a base coat.

Oh, the complicated nail polish world.

This thread is good for that. I never would have tried most of what I've worn without this thread. Well, except for the grays. That's the first nail polish I bought when I retired from the Navy. Gray. I was never allowed that in uniform.

I'm liking my orange and black.

I'm wearing my Ravenclaw costume to work Monday, so I may bust out the Dorothy Who? for that.

Also, Jeep gave me the guts to try brights like yellow and orange. I never would have picked those on my own.

And I never would have had the sense to buy a mini sized bottle of the orange if not for Jeep's suggestion. Which absolutely made me want to slap myself for not seeing the obvious.

Heh. I gave myself the same manicure as Jeep. Orange base coat with black crackle on top for Halloween. But I can't seem to take a picture of my hands without my fingers looking like hotdogs with Lee Press On nails... How do you guys take elegant hand pics?

BTW Sally Hansen is buy one get one 50% off this week at CVS.

So I finally did my pedicure and I used the following:

Base coat: orly nail defense
Color: china glaze in revolution
Glitter coat: NYX creme glitter
Top coat: NYC in a new York minute quick dry top coat

I was going for a fallish burnt orange with sparkle and instead got something I think looks better for summer or spring. It's gonna stay on all week though and I'll change it this weekend. Ps...ignore the Barney rubble looking toes...

Sally Hansen black, Loreal Breaking Curfew red, and a confetti over the pinkie.

I picked red instead of orange, I felt like being more vixen-ish. The confetti is bc its Halloween and that may be as much dressing up as I'm doing this year.

iroc, I think you know I like this look.

I find it really hard to have the patience to paint my fingernails. When I do my toes I can do things right away, but with the fingers it takes forever before I can even touch anything. I even use the quick dry stuff you can paint on and one of those little dryer things you put your fingers under. Am I doing something wrong that it seems to take SO long for everything to dry?

I usually try to use a quick dry polish. And I've given up on doing a second coat. It never dries!

I've tried sitting with my hands in front of the fan. But that just makes me cold.

The mini Bon Bon nail polishes dry really fast. And I have a set of Hello Kitty polishes I bought for the kids that dry really fast.

Haha, spring, I just realized I did the same thing you did!

I did the kids nails in alternating black and orange with the glitter over.

To help not fudge my nails up, I try to just plan on being on the computer while they are drying. Computer stuff doesn't seem to mess them up, so it's your excuse to be on NC.com.

Like I need an excuse.

Mine are so jacked up already after just a couple days I'm removing it today. At first I thought I was doing too thick of a coat, but I tried doing a super thin coat with the new polish and it's still kind of gloppy looking.

When I was a teen and I painted my nails all the time I don't recall ever having this much trouble.

My nails dry fast. I never use a base or top coat. Usually just 2 coats of polish (most of the time it's Sally Hansen Insta Dri) and I'm done. I add a refresher coat after a few days. And sometimes once more after that.

Love all the halloween polish!

I'm going to reapply with no base coat and see how that goes. For some reason it's in my brain that I *must* do a base coat. Sometimes I can't think outside the bottle.

I don't use a base coat either. But I use a fast drying top coat. They start chipping w/in one day if I don't.
