Bon Bons, no color names but a dark fuschia? and pink sparkly on the ring finger. I hadn't used the pink before but I like it, needed 2 coats.

I'm going tomorrow for a Shellac manicure and regular pedicure. I bought a Living Social deal for it ages ago at a salon in the city-- that I'd never go to on my own. It was fifty bucks for the mani pedi instead of their standard 80. I'm going to get, shockingly, black. I'll report back!

Stolen.
I tried shellac at Mitchells Salon and Day Spa. The manicurist said that the only way you can get the polish off is using a rough file. Not only did it chip in places, but I went from having healthy nails to this! Other people that have had it done also say the same.

This looks much better because they were sore to touch for a month! Everytime they grow a little I have to cut them down because they split really bad

Thanks curlilocks and RCC. I used the end of a bobby pin for the dots. Just dunked it in the bottle and dotted it on. After some practice I'll be albe to control the size of them better. I have tremors so I'll never be able to do fancy stuff but I'll be doing lots of dots from now on! : )

Perhaps there is a strengthening solution that you can use until your nail grows out. Three months is a long time to wait for a nail to completely grow out.

The ladies here will probably have some very good suggestions.

I tried a moon manicure today. I thought of you, Sinistral. You might enjoy it even if isn't in others' taste.

I used Nubar Marble Tower as a base.

I cut paper reinforcement circles in half and used them to mark off my 'moon'.

Then I painted the open tip with Nubar Stronghold.

Let dry, take the stickers off, and clean up.

Aw man. I had on fake nails on my birthday, but I used magnetic nail polish. I totally forgot to take a pic!
I got Shellac'ed this afternoon!

Color is black pool, a black like any other black I've used. SUPER high gloss. I don't love how far from my nail bed the polish is (I'll post pictures later), but if this legit stays this glossy and chip free for two weeks, I'll dig it anyhow.

That they were totally dry when she finished was both awesome ans REALLY hard to adjust to. You just painted my nails! I shouldn't be able to shove my hand in my purse all willy nilly! But, I could! Sweet.

I had my nails done OPI Extravaganza.

(not my nails)

I knew it would last the full 2 weeks - problem is, I didn't. I got tired of it in 4 days and it took me for-ev-ER to take it off.

Using my iphone with my toe thumbs. There will be typos.
yeah glitter polishes can be hard to take off. someone (maybe here or on another thread) suggested wrapping a nail polish remover soaked cotton ball with foil around your nails to help with the process. i wonder if a little soaking of the nails in remover would help too. of course you'd have to do something to counteract potention dryness.

as for the glitter polishes. i like them but find i like it better in small doses, like on one nail. right now i have some glitter polish over my regular nail color, just on my big toes. that sounds funny...big toes.

Glitter polish- I've had luck soaking a piece of a cotton ball in NP remover and placing it against the nail. Then I wrap it in a small piece of tin foil. By the time I was done wrapping the last one, the first one was ready to remove polish. Works pretty well.

I totally need to remember to buy paper reinforcement circles.

I tried making dot flowers on my toes. I'm going to need a lot of practice before I can actually do dots on my nails. Dots may always be beyond my skill set.
