SNOWFLAKES!!! My second favorite Christmas thing after Snowmen!!!

CL, I haven't tried it yet, but I probably will today. I need to re-do my current paint job and I was going to try the TL over my one green nail so it won't be "annoying glitter overload" if it all goes wrong. I think it definitely needs a topcoat.

I need a snowflake, seriously.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I have snowflakes and snowmen on deck for January. YouTube has so many videos on them.

Siri types my posts for me.

I guess I need to get some white polish or one of those skinny brush types you can draw with.

Mr. Spring can do it for me so I don't cuss at nail polish.

I'll have to check out tutorials on youtube!

I got a striper that I used for the bow one I'm wearing now. It wasn't very expensive. It's by Sinful Colors, and I got it at Rite-Aid.

ETA. Cutepolish is the YouTube channel that had the easiest to do designs, but there are plenty out there.

I got Essie Sexy Divide and Nubar Night Sparkle in my stocking. I also got this under the tree: http://www.sallybeauty.com/six-tray-...efault,pd.html China Glaze and Sinful Colors won't stand in the bottom but that's ok, I got the one I wanted (black lace).

missbanjo, that's really cool! I've just been trying to figure out how to better organize my polish since I have too many now.

Great stocking loot!

bold - Are we sure we're not twins?!

italics - but you want *me* to have annoying glitter overload-- sure that's ok. Wait, did you mean the wearing or the removal? Either way, I'm there! I think I have to remove and start over since I now have bald spots on several nails.

Definitely glitter removal. Let me know how it goes when you take it off. (that's what she said)

Snowmen and snowflakes RULE.

There has been marathon house cleaning going on around here so the nails still haven't been done, but I'm really excited to re-do them because as badly as I did the current color it's holding up great.

i love those Winter Wonderland nails!

and i was looking at Smitten with Mittens at the salon last week but used my old hot pink OPI - it's from 2000 (that is not a typo) and the same collection that had Very Merry Cherry in it. i keep thinking this is Sugar Plum Yum, but that might be the lavender shade.

anyway.... spring and curlilocks will want my nails because i had snowflakes stenciled on and in the centre of each one is a tiny dot of silver sparkle.

if only i could take a pic to show y'all, but i've never figured out how to post photos!

sounds pretty! You just need to get the picture onto the computer, then upload to a site like photobucket or fotki, then you can share.
Or you can email it to me and I'll post it for you!

Unholy glitter from hell! What a pain to get off, more in the length of time than anything. What do they put in glitter polishes anyway, super glue?!?! Yeah, I thought it all washed off but my fingers are sparkling. LOL And I should have removed it *before* washing my hair, as I'm sure there's glitter in it now, since I came out of the shower with much less polish.

But I might brave it and give it another go, this time with 2 good coats and a proper top coat. Do I do all the nails, an accent or two, add some red............? It was kind of fun and different to have golden, sparkling nails! I wish I had green. Maybe some red under a couple of nails? Oy!

I'll save the blue with silver accent for after Christmas.

More holiday jollypants, did some sparkly dots. It reminds me of the vintage painted glass ornaments that used to festoon my grandmother's tree. Sally Xtreme Wear Celeb City (a lovely silver foil) , Zoya Holly, and Nubar Fire Sparkle.

You can't really tell here, but the red is so very sparkly.

OH my word, I do feel your pain. What I couldn't get off with remover I tried scrubbing/scraping off under running water in the sink and there were still a few sparkles left!

I'm definitely just doing an accent nail so it's not such hell when I remove it. I used to use glitter polish over regular polish on my toes all the time and never had any act like this before. Crazy mess.

I guess I gave you the gift that keeps on giving...glitter polish!! You're welcome! haha

Another coworker's nails...she has snowflakes on the glitter nails. Hard to see with the flash.

glitter IS hard to get off, isn't it??? i've taken to wearing my Canadian Maple Leaf (OPI) on my toes with Traffic Stopper Copper (OPI-Sephora) over it. it's a nice combination of wine red with copper sparkle, but getting it off for the next shade would be easier with a wire brush!

I do keep thinking that the gold glitter would be striking over a navy blue, though. Time to raid the 16 year old's polish stash??? Maybe for my toes!
