What nail polish do you have on at the moment?

Like Tree7091Likes

I'm in the process of revamping my nail care routine. I have been moisturizing like crazy in the past few weeks and my nails are breaking and peeling a lot less. I'm also still waiting for my Dermanail to arrive. I'm excited about starting that routine. I also have a boatload of new nail polishes and products on the way when my husband returns home.

So as a result of researching nail issues, I have been reading about filing nails vs. cutting. I have always cut my nails with very sharp nail clippers in the past but I think it could be contributing to some of my nail issues (occasional splitting, peeling). Does anyone else on here just file your nails down when needed rather than clip? Have you noticed a difference in your nails?

I love the red and gold scheme. I'm sure your decor looks great!

This last mani has lasted well with minor chips. I need a new mani but will wait until Friday (after my outpatient surgery Thurs). But I wanted to post the inspiration for my mani colors, like Bretty did!

My snowflake jammies I got for Christmas!
ETA: added another pic. Maybe I forgot to post this last manicure, or it got buried on the pages.

I clipped back to some shorties.

I still have one spot left on my right from sanitizer damage that will have to grow out.

Today's color is Nubar Iris Dust. It's a lovely multichrome that shows berry, pink, copper, bronze, orangeish.

Doesn't match the iris though, lol.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Turtles I was super sad when I looked online and saw that I had to wait til march! I hate waiting!!!
rcc you went pretty short but you could never tell when polished. ah the joys of long nail beds!

The camera is my iPhone camera. Easy uploading that way. No special settings. The 4 just has a nice camera.

I did the nyan cat design that cutepolish put out a few weeks ago. OMG, it took FOREVER!!! I wish I had bigger nailbeds b/c I had to make nyan cat very small and couldn't be as detailed as I would've liked.

If I find my camera I'll take better pictures; this is with my webcam, so it's pretty blurry.

To give you an idea of how long it took, here are the colors I used:

bottom coat: Yogata love this blue (OPI)
White stripe (to make the rainbow pop): Sally Hansen 110
Rainbow: Phat Santa--red (China Glaze), Goin' Ape-ricot--orange (OPI), Pippa--yellow (Zoya), Tangy--green (Zoya), Teal the Cows Come Home--blue (OPI), Adina--purple (Zoya)
Nyan cat: an Essie gold shade, Temptation Carnation (china glaze), Sirena (zoya), Dove (zoya), Sally Hansen nail art pen in black.

I did the nyan cat design on a plastic baggie, then transferred it to my nail after it had dried for about an hour.
