I usually change my pedis every 3 weeks, but they would probably last longer. How long my manis last depends on the polish. What polish lasts longest varies from person to person. The longest I can usually get it to last is 6-7 days. My current mani has lasted 9 days with only tip wear on 3 tips (wet n wild megalast (2$) topped with essie pure pealfection). I'll probably remove it soon because I don't like the grown out space at the bottom.
I haven't used a clippers since the 80's. It just seems like clippers would be hard on nails.
Curlilocks- I want a mani that matches my jammies. You must be the coolest kid at the sleep over.
RCC- Your nails really do look two different lengths painted and naked. That is an amazing polish. Looks like 3 different colors.
I've been eying needle marble manis lately. Here are some links I found. I saw one done in Essie Chinchilly and black polish it looked great. If someone does a needle mani before I can get to it, can you try to suck a little so mine doesn't look so bad in comparison.

More fun with dots... I tried to do it as if they are settling down into the bottom, so they look kind of bunched up and overlappy; shades of browns, orangey reds, and a glitter over a super dark brown base.
A few days old, pardon my chips.

on my finger nails, orly swizzle stick. i just wanted to get some color back on my nails (is wearing nail color addictive? i think so!)
i may add a design later. i did have one thing in mind for a design. oh and the one with the bottle was just for contrast so the nail color would pop.

I'm trying hard to avoid becoming this woman. I've said too many things on the video already.

She's going in the Navy?! Poor thing. No nails and very few nail colors for her.
I need more greens was something I've said, lol.

I was inspired to do the marble mani today after seeing the links. I did just an all over marble look nothing fancy like just doing the smokey tips. I will figure out how to post pictures because it was so easy to do and it looks very nice. Its hard to mess this one up. I used China Glaze for Audrey and Black Diamond

After over an hour I got impatient and ripped the rest off.
I just did serious damage to my nails. It's a good thing they're so thick. At least I can buff that mess out. They should grow out in 6-8 weeks, but I'm going to have to keep them short so they don't break.

Nallia- OMG!!! What polish was that so I can never ever use it.
Adorame-I hope you figure out how to post pics because I'd love to see some. It sounds awesome.
ETA: Got my free Zoyas today. Noel and Laney.
ETA: Nallia- I meant to also say that I hope the damage isn't that bad and it is easy to grow out. I said it in my head, but not in this post.

It was Perfect Match gel polish (Nobility) by Le Chat, in Princess Tears.
PERFECT MATCH™
I have never had an issue with gel polish before, but I will never use this stuff again.

eek! sorry that happened to your nails. were you using a special gel remover? i saw a special remover with the gel polish in the sallys.
nallia, i think you liked essie right? i saw a protein treatment by them and also one called grow rich which is supposed to be moisturizing. maybe those can help your nails until they grow out.

No, I used pure acetone. I've used it with Gelish, Shelac and others without any problem, even with glitter gels. This is the first time I've had an issue. It might be that these have more glitter than most. I don't know. They're REALLY thick. So thick it looked like I had acrylic on my nails. If I ever try them again I'll try picking up some gel polish remover and see if it works better.
I have Sally Hansen stuff that I'll try before going out to buy something else, but if it doesnt help I'll head over to Sally's or Ulta and look at the Essie stuff.
