There was a craze for all things Hawaiian back in the 1950s when Hawaii became a state... I think that's when muumuus initially became popular.

Anyone remember the Peter Pan story...when Tinkerbell was poisoned and dying, Peter called for all those who believed in fairies to clap their hands. It worked. Tink was saved.

Well...there's a certain person whom I know reads this thread. Perhaps if we posted pictures of our favorite muu muus, she might yet be saved.

I'll start...

I have a (flowerless) mumu. I'll post a pic of myself in it tomorrow as my contribution to the clap. Haha!!! I bought it for $6 as a house dress. It's pretty hideous but comfy as can be. I never wear it in public.

I think Pink is in a caftan. Something to do with the long sleeves and low neckline.
(She terrifies me, btw. I am positive she would beat me up if we met.)

And.......thanks, curlies. (that emoticon with hearts would go here if I could find it)

I'm a bit late. I was going to post this pic of a cute little doggy in a muumuu (sorry, couldn't find one of a pit bull) to assist in the effort, but I see all is well. Yay! Oh, why not? Here it is anyway....

I truly appreciate it, especially since it took me forevvvvvvver to learn how myself. Once I tried when I was tipsy, and TNB and CurlySue21 were trying hard to help me, but I just couldn't do it.

Thank you!
