I actually like the upper part of those shoes, ASQ, but the heels are too weird for me.

I found a combination of these today, for less than $5:

The straps are thin and wrapped like the first pair, but the heel is wedged, like the second. And the silver has a black cast to it.

Red toenails? Hot pink?

Red for classy, pink for extremely fun! I might be imagining them wrong but because of the black cast I would prefer red I think. But then there are so many shades..!

The pinky toe is hanging on for dear life in the black pair.

"Halp! Halp!!," cried the littlest toe.

I wish I knew the name of the shoes, FWP. I searched high and low. I saw them on this blog Couture Shoes Christian Dior 02

LOL ninja dog. Once you're used to walking in 4 1/2-5 inch heels a few more inches won't hurt and I don't leave them on for an extended period of time so it's not as bad as it looks. Afrosheen queen thanks for the info but those are a few years old. I was also trying to search and came up with nada.

How exactly does one get used to 5 inches?!

It all depends on the cut of the shoe the type of material, brand etc. Some shoes are more comfortable than others. In my opinion BCBG shoes are more comfortable than the GUESS shoes. For example these shoes, the heel measures about 4 1/2
but they are more comfortable than these GUESS sandals Amazon.com: GUESS Women'S Olgan Single Sole Dress Sandal: Shoes the heel measures about 4". The material on the GUESS sandal is a little to rough but the BCBG material is soft and comfortable it feels like I have sneakers on, they're great! Some brands are more comfortable than others which makes it easier to get used to wearing heels and not the painful picture of agony that is constantly portrayed. Hey, DH loves it. Here's to walking in heels.

FWP - That makes a lot of sense... What do you think of dr scholls inserts and what not? I just always find that high heels are wobbly. I think that is my biggest problem. I also wear heels about twice a year so I don't exactly get much practice. And my BF does not like them! lol!

The Dr. scholls insert are good but that only covers the heel part if the rest of the shoe is uncomforable Dr. scholls won't help, but a combination of both is great. Why don't you start off with a smaller heel? Once you get the hang of those then graduate to a higher heel. I didn't wake up one morning mastering a 5 inch heel LOL! If you're walking wobbly that is probably why your boyfriend is concerned our men do not like to see us in pain. Once you get the hang of it walk with confidence put some pep in your step he will love it. This may come across as silly but watch this video YouTube - Fashion & Style Tips : How To Walk in High Heels it's about walking in heels it has some good pointers. You can also opt for a thicker heel like these heels High Heeled Retro Pumps I don't really like this style of the shoe but it's an example of a thick heel. On Heels and Pumps at Macy's - Stylish Heels, High Heels Shoes, Pumps Shoes - Macy's and other webistes on the side of the page you can select shoes by heel height. DSW carries alot of comfort shoes Eurosoft Vivi Sandal - DSW . HTH
