Oh Po, that is gorgeous! I absolutely love that.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I love all the dresses, especially the 2 that Po posted! I love long dresses but they tend to look stupid on me.

spring - I love the long dress on you. I would wear that color with black or white sandals.
As for the little cardigan, this isn't pointed at you just the fashion world in general - I am always the odd man out on those things. I don't like shrugs or short sleeved cardigans on anyone. I just don't see the point. If it's to cover something up, just get a short or long sleeved dress instead of sleeveless. If it's for warmth, then a gauzy wrap or open knit shrug short sleeved cardigan aren't going to do much. Instead why not get something 3/4 or long sleeved. But that's just me.

Also, I'm willing to bet you look great in anything sleeveless!

PS You have LOTS of girlfriends!! Here we are! Yoohoo! : )

The downside of spring and summer dresses, for me, is the overabundance of sleeveless looks. I hate my upper arms.

I would love it if anyone who wants to post pictures of their Spring and Summer dresses or skirts would share in this thread! Please, please share! Or heck, if you just have a cute outfit you wanna show off do that too. No rules.

I've never been a dress wearer so putting one on feels pretty foreign to me, but I'm ready for some newness! I'd love it if anyone looking would give me some honest opinions about the two dresses I just bought.

The shorter one feels like something is off with it, but I'm not sure if it's just me feeling weird because my blinding white legs are on display or if the dress just isn't right for me. The longer dress I love and could wear every day I think, but I'd love some input on it as well. Is the cardigan ok with both? What about the shoes? They're new too and I'm still feeling those out if I want to keep them or not.

Opinions, please! Don't hold back, I have no girlfriends that can help me out with shopping so anything you point out will (hopefully) help with future dress shopping.

I could sorta cover up and mix and match stuff. I would always see pretty summer dresses (why are most sleeveless!?), but never try them on because they're sleeveless or I know would show my bra. I guess it gives me just enough to feel comfortable wearing sleeveless. I know me and if I'm not comfortable in it, I'll never pull it off the hanger to wear it and that's just a waste of money.

I've gotten over it a little because if it's hot enough I'll go sleeveless because I wilt in the heat and NEED my breeze.

I agree about there being too many sleeveless styles. It always takes me a bit to get used to sleeveless each summer. In June, I'm hiding under shrugs. By August, I no longer give a crap what anyone thinks of my upper arms.
RCW, I love those, especially that first one!

And I agree, white or black shoes would look better, which means I'll have to shoe shop. I want to say I enjoy that, but I don't. I'm hunting for some versatile and comfortable flip flops.

I'm a big maxi-dress lover, but I think the shorter one looks great on you!

The only thing I don't do is strapless. They require strapless bra, and then there's the needing and hoping they stay put, and I just can't deal with that much maintenance.
I prefer no spaghetti straps either, but I guess I have one of those as well.
I've been eyeing a couple of dresses and will go try them on soon. Perhaps a pair of sandals as well.
No summer dress thread would be complete without a discussion of chub-rub. I bought a pair of these last summer...and they are the ONLY reason I have bought new summer dresses this year. They work FAB!

They come in a panty version as well, but I like just the thigh coveralls.

Speaking of sweaters I just got this from Eddie Bauer. It is not as lacy looking in real life but still cute. Will not let me post pic-I hate that.

They also have some dresses that I like but I have not bought any yet. Title Nine has some really cute ones too! But kinda pricey so I have not hit the buy button yet.

I love these two. I too, hate my uppers arms but figure, unless I am willing to do something about them I have to suck it up

I swear, I get the Eddie Bauer catalog and want almost everything in it. Cute cardigan!

I'm excited for these because they'll be so much cooler!

I REALLY want this dress.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

I just bought these 3 dresses for our trip to Scottsdale next week.....it's sort of a business/pleasure trip all rolled into one so I think these will be perfect for the dinners! Still trying to decide what kind of shoes to get...any ideas?
