These Born ones from last year:

I have not bought any new ones for this year. I am looking for some nice summery flats, though.

This confuses me? Cold is San Fran? I would think it's fairly perfect sandal weather most of the time!

Of course I'm from Maine and pretty much once the snow goes out the flip flops go on!
I'd say 95% of the year its too cold for sandals in SF. Every other place in the San Francisco Bay Area its warm, just not in San Francisco and certainly not the party of SF I live in. Whenever I see a movie set in SF and they show sunny skies, I think "that's a rare day in the city"

The old Mark Twain quote "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisico". The first time I went I lived in the midwest. It was July and I froze even on sunny days. I was SHOCKED. Now that I live is SO CAL I know that California is not as hot (except inland), as people think.

Oh I didn't think it was hot. Just mild enough for sandals most of the year. I looked at the average temps and it resembled spring here. Like I said, in Maine once the snow goes out the flip flops are on, which is like 35 degrees and up really.

I really need some cute, work appropriate flat sandals. I just wish they had a little more than the strip of leather for a bottom. Not supportive at all! I keep looking.

We definitely have a different standard of cold here! 50 degrees is freezing to us since we don't have to deal with snow. And yes, a sunny summer day in SF is a rarity, and so beautiful! September and October are definitely the warmest months in SF.

I love the thin strappy sandals that are out right now. Love those Aldo ones but unfortunately my feet need something with more "meat". I have terrible arches and need a lot of support. Wearing those would feel like I'm walking on cardboard.

They had some super cute sandals at Target today, but there's nothing to the bottom of them! How do people walk in those for any length of time and their feet not kill them? I wanted so bad to buy a pair. Such pretty colors!!

Thanks! I've had them for a couple of years and I wear the heck out of them in the warmer weather. They're so comfortable I bought another pair in an off-white color.

Spring, I have that second pair from last year and I love them! It's true there's nothing to the bottoms, but I seem to be able to walk around in them for a few hours at a time. I pretty much lived in them last summer.

Maybe I should just get them and give them a try. I think they're only $15 so it's worth a shot! Thanks for the input, Jaynee.

I live in my Sanuk yoga mat flip flops and would like to have every color, but at $30 a pair that ain't happenin'.

I just bought two pairs of Teva flip flops for $12 each on Sierra Trading Post. I might go check out those Target sandals today. The turquoise ones are cute!

I want these! My dad has an amazon gift card he's letting me use, so hopefully. I'll get these soon.
