Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is on. Every time i come across this, and Lost in Translation, I have to stop and watch. Not because they are two of my favorites, but because they are my best friends.

I'm finally watching Lovelace. As the title says, it's about Linda Lovelace (porn star). I'm normally not a huge fan of Amanda Seyfried, but she's slightly more than mediocre in this, which is progress. Peter Sarsgaad plays her husband, who is a real jack hole that got her into the business.

Not a bad film though it really didn't touch on all of her claims of abuse against her husband or the reactions from those who knew her. Even those who said they knew she was physically and mentally abused claimed that she also had some serious problems, sexual addictions and that she was a compulsive liar that would not accept responsibility for any of her own actions. They also didn't get into her anti porn activism and later claims of being used by the rad fem movement.

Yes!! The East came out today. I just rented it. I've been waiting for this Alex S flick. I also got the new Rob Zombie movie, The Lords of Salem. It has pretty bad reviews but I can excuse B-rated horror.

Is about tv shows, too. It's whatever you're watching.

Eastenders (nothing exciting going on lately).
Extreme Makeover Weight Loss, Who Do You Think You Are (these have both been rather boring this year).

Default Netflix whore

I finished watching the first 6 or 7 James Bond movies on Netflix before their time was up. Didn't get thru all 23. I've also been watching TED Talks on life hacks, science, and whatnot. On TV, I've been enjoying Hot In Cleveland and Whose Line Is It Anyway.

I LOOVE what not to wear. I always wanted to nominate my mother for the show, or secretly dress badly so I can go on the show.

I am trying to watch another episode of Dexter before bed. I turned off Lords of Salem so I don't know I think I will make it through this. I am all watched out and in more of a reading/writing mood.

I've always been petrified someone would nominate me for this show! And I would be one of those horrible women who won't let the hair stylist do anything with their hair. No short hair, no coloring, no straightening!

Hot in Cleveland. The episode with the ladies from The Mary Tyler Moore Show was sweet and funny and sad all at once.

Watched Honey Boo Boo last night for the 1st time. It was called "Scoop and Lift." I got to experience the mouth mystery game (I gagged) and to see gnats crawling on a toe. Lots of jiggling in bathing suits. Kids way too young to have that kind of fat on their bodies. IMHO.

Masquerade (2012)

its a Korean period movie adorned with beautiful costumes and cinematography. a "Prince and the Pauper" storyline filled with great acting and tinged with humor and sadness. one of my favorite movies of the year so far. highly recommended

if you ladies watch Masquerade out of 5 kleenex its a 3 kleenex movie.

on another sad note Japanese animation master Hayao Miyazaki has retired. his movies are always whimsical and fantastical with a social message. Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle and so many others have inspired me throughout my life. my personal favorite is Princess Mononoke pictured below.

Luther. Season 1 Episode 4 - this was some amazing tv. The woman who plays the taxi driver's wife, heart wrenching acting.
