What are you watching now?

Ninja, I thought it was just me. I really don't care for M.D. I've actually avoided watching movies he's in, I don't know what it is about him. I feel sort of bad because it's so irrational.

Sometimes I wonder if it's because the The Talented Mr. Ripley or something? a character imprint deal.

OTOH I love Dogma.

he sort of looks like a girl i went to HS with but she was cool so i jsut don't know.

I love Dogma!

I agree that sometimes an actor's previous role makes it hard to like them, but isn't it further proof of how amazing they are? I mean, their work was so convincing that it made you dislike them? I don't see MD as a villain, too much of a good two shoes. I need to rewatch Mr. Ripley though.

I'm watching Persepolis.

7(/10

It made me realise how fortunate I am to never have experienced a period of war. My heart goes out to the people of the Middle East, and all those fighting for political freedom.

Lovely animation and the story pulls you in. Lovely stuff.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

I don't know....he has a blandness I just can't shake, no matter how much jerkiness the character he plays embodies.....I feel the same way about his buddy, Ben Snore-fleck.

Now I want to see Out of the Past.

Interesting take on MD. I can see what you're saying though. Let's watch Out of the Past sometime this week I'll try to find it.

I gave up on tennis and changed to the Odessa File. You can really see Angelina Jolie in her dad. I really should be doing coursework.

Just finished "Get Low" with Robert Duvall.

Meh.
I've just finished watching a BBC drama called Stolen about child trafficking. My god it was disturbing. And to think it's probably happening not too far from any of us...

I didn't like Blue Valentine either. I liked the idea of different cameras for pre and post marriage and I love Ryan and I love Michelle. Maybe that movie was too indie for me. Shrug.

Conviction. It wasn't great but it was good. I like Sam Rockwell and Peter Gallagher. And Minnie Driver's hair was awesome in the movie. : )
