I've been on a movie bender this weekend. On Friday afternoon I saw The Grey (chilling man v. nature tale, with lots of questions re: faith/mortality, and a great performance by Liam Neeson (still a badass at nearly 60 years old)). Later that night I watched Warrior on demand (not a terribly original story, but great performances all around). Yesterday afternoon I saw A Separation, an Iranian movie (nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Screenplay Oscars) about a husband and wife whose separation sets off a whole chain of events that I won't get into in case anyone ends up seeing the movie. I'd highly recommend it - one of the best films I've seen this past year, and I've seen a lot! Oh, and I might see Pina (3D Wim Wenders Film about an acclaimed abstract choreographer) with some friends later tonight, although I'm beginning to feel all movied out.
I've also been catching up on a lot of TV this weekend (including mini-Mad Men and Downton Abbey marathons). I want to start watching REvenge, which some of my friends have been raving about. I started watching an episode on demand, but I think I"m going to try to track down the first episode online so I can start from the beginning.

Grimm, last night. It keeps me interested but Nick's girlfriend disturbs me for some reason.
What I want to know is: why do all the "monsters" have German names? (Or I think it's German anyway) Is it just because of the whole Grimm thing? I mean not all of them would self identify that way, would they? IDK

DH was looking at our Blockbuster list: "What's all this weird stuff on here.... and what's this Downtown Abbey movie???" HAHA!! It's like calling it Downtown instead of Downton is a sickness!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

The Tudors, series 2.
The guy who plays Charles Brandon is gorgeous. If he asked me to go to bed with him, like he casually does in the series, I wouldn't say no.

I liked last nite's episode of Grimm. The names of the monsters bug me because I can't remember them (or pronounce them even). Maybe the names are German because Grimm's Fairytales were written in German?
The girlfriend also irritates me. I think it's because her eyes seem to be looking in many directions at once.
