Love the pics Spring! CT misses you already! I hope you find a place soon. Hugs to Calvin and I hope he's faring well. How much longer does he have to be immobilized?

I love all the pictures! Little Calvin is so cute...he looks quite comfy in his spot, but ready to be out!

Spring, welcome to the West Coast. Love the pictures. I was in love when I drove through big sky country but it was so windy and cold.

I had to post though because my husband is also obsessing over wanting a motorcycle and normally we get along amazingly well but I'm about to hide his body somewhere too if he doesn't move on to the next shiny thing want. Good Luck.
Spring come back. I have a spare room!!! Kidding-sorta.

I am glad you made it safe and sound (and hubby)! Calvin looks like it did not faze him to much so that is good.

I will think good rental vibes for you!

One good reason to only maintain a small circle of friends is that three out of four murders are committed by people who know the victim. ~George Carlin~

In regards to Vagazzling: They just want to get into the goods without worrying about getting scratched up by fake crystals. ~spring1onu~
p.s. eBay has classifieds with rentals too!

Yup it's a prairie dog, they're everywhere out here. It's probably more tame cuz it's a rest stop and people give it food. They're not normally that friendly.

(I know they don't do that, but I kept having visions of it because people were treating them like pets calling to them)

That's SO sweet of you - thank you!!!

I really enjoyed all the pictures - you look like you were having a good time! Glad there are curlies to welcome you to Cali!

We are letting him out of his crate a little bit more and he mainly lays on the floor, but at night he is crated and we still carry him around out to potty and to the car. I really think he's getting used to this being carried thing. Spoiled much?

Ahhhh, you can identify with me!! Is your husband related to mine? Sounds exactly like him...he gets the one shiny thing he's been pining over and after the newness wears off he finds something else. He still loves and adores all his other shiny things, but there is always a scheme working in the back of his mind for the next new toy. I thought I had a good roadblock for him because I asked "How are we supposed to move next time if you throw a motorcycle in the mix?" and I am pretty sure he was waiting for me to ask because he was quick to respond "The military will move a motorcycle with our household goods." Ugh! I was thwarted!!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Great pics! Glad you made it and I'm still jealous of your adventure. And I didn't know you guys were canoe enthusiasts. I'm not, but I do love to float down the crick on big inner tubes (one to carry the beer). : )

CL those darn things were entirely too adorable. I might have a couple more pics of them and if so I'll post those too. Can't have too much cuteness!!

Jeep, from a distance...from a distance, that's how! It felt like it looked horrible with the weird hotel water. At least in the hotel we're living in the water seems to work for me, but the water pressure was nil and it was taking me 3 days to rinse. Jason got in there last night and "repaired" the shower head and now I can actually get in and out of the shower all on the same day without spending a gazillion hours rinsing. Bonus is the shower head no longer sprays water all over the wall because they installed it wrong.

spring, any news on apartment hunting?
My blog:

Little Mother of all the Roaches, President-for-Life of the MAC Harlots!
We have an application submitted for one place that is about 2 minutes from DH's work, but still waiting to hear. That town has a population of 350 people so actually finding something for rent at all is a miracle. Not the nicest/cleanest of places but we can spruce it up if we get it. Everywhere else we look will be a 45 minute to an hour commute.

Meanwhile we're still out every day looking at neighborhoods; me on my iPad stalking Craig's List while DH drives. The iPad has been invaluable with the mobile internet during all of this. Out of 6 places we've seen one we put in the app for, two were beyond disgusting, two were nice but way too small and one looked like it was built out of plywood, but had a fantastic view up in the mountains. The drive up to it made me queasy.

We have an appointment tomorrow for a place that has been totally redone that we drove by today and is in a very nice neighborhood. It's an hour commute for DH and the very tip-top of our budget, but we're running out of options and time.

It's been a character building experience! Thanks for checking in on me Rou.

We submitted an application this morning to the totally updated place that is a 45-ish minute commute. We totally loved it and really hoped to get it and the landlord said he'd let us know on Saturday one way or the other. Well, he just called DH a few minutes ago and said if we want it, it's ours!! It was such a relief to hear those words and know we can get settled in soon!

DH was out on a bicycle ride when the guy called, but he's going to call him back later and get more details. Not exactly sure our move in date, but should at least be by the 1st.

Thank you guys so much for all the well wishes, curly vibes ROCK!!
