Pick a dress - or add your own.
I have a biz casual event to go to on wed. Hubby is wearing long sleeve linen guyabera w/ french cuffs. Black trousers - I think linen as well.
My choices:
J Peterman Polka dot flouncy dress
J Peterman black tie shoulder dress with removable bling
J Peterman Agua Caliente dress (Hubby really likes this one - and it's on sale)
Chelsea & Theodore broomstick dress in black
I'm open to other suggestions along the feminine, friendly to zaftigness line in a natural material (cotton, silk, linen etc.)

I like the first and second.
Third is a little costumy and the fourth is REALLY casual.
I can't choose between the first two.

Hubby's choice is out. I didn't realize it was velvet on the bottom. No way am I wearing velvet in Texas in June. Don't want to look like an upholstered couch.

I like #1 best. After that, # 2 but #1 is much more interesting and flirty.

I like one and four. A lot.

#1 seems the most biz casual. I like #2 but it looks a little dressy.

I like one and four the best, with four possibly coming out on top.

I love #1 the best but I'm starting to have second thoughts. I'm about a size 16/18 in the hip area and I'm not a very tall woman (5"4 after an inversion table session) Can I really pull off polka dots?
Sigh....
I think I'm going to get the last one and accessorize I'm hearing through the grapevine that some folks are going to show up in costumes. The theme is... wait for it... Texas.
Sigh....

LOL, what is a Texas theme? I like the second one a lot and the third one, but if it wasn't velvet, ew. First one is cute and might be better if it's a costume type thing.

Can you try on the dress at all? The dots are so small and they're all over - I'm super short and on the curvy side, and I think the style would be flattering on me, so I would think on your hourglass figure, it would be great too.
Texas style? Does that mean you wear cowboy hats? I'm from CT, so I have NO IDEA what that means!

So I popped into anthropolgie and picked this up:

The skirt is much more form-hugging than the picture shows.
It works more like a pencil-cut skirt on my body and the back is slightly longer than the front.
I plan on wearing the belt backwards and above my midsection.
I anticipate lots of cowboy hats and such. Remember, where I live, cowboy boots can be seen as professional/dress up clothing.

Yes, and starched jeans are perfectly appropriate for a wedding.

Will there be a few longhorns, as well?
How about the convertible caddy w/ the long horns as an ornament?
