My iron pills are helping with the anemia. I ran 8.3 miles yesterday, and I could do it. I began feeling like I really can finish the half-marathon I've signed up for in October.

I had a great long weekend with my family. We went to our favorite Thai place yesterday, and spent like 2 hours at the park today enjoying the wonderful weather. My 4-year-old is starting to read and write, 3-year-old is also learning his letter sounds, and I got caught up on housework.

I finally finally finally found some more recent episodes of What Not to Wear online! I can't tell you how happy that makes me. It's the one show I've missed since getting rid of cable years ago.

My landlady just emailed to let me know she got me a Starbucks card when she was there a few days ago because the theme on it is San Francisco (she's been sending me tips on what to see there, etc.). She also said she wasn't sure if I even go to Starbucks, but that she put $5 on it so I would sample the pumpkin spice latte if I hadn't had one before.

Seriously, how did we get so lucky to have such rockin' landlords!

I received the peculiar original human/animal hybrid drawings I bought on Etsy; they're cool as hell. And, I got two odd little postcards as a freebie.

Plus, I had the pleasure of helping another poster recently; it was nice to give back.

Finally, I really, really like the new volunteer at the library (she calls patrons when our special orders have arrived). She does excellent work.

I took tomorrow off from work, we are going to the mountains. We'll see the turning of the aspens (hopefully they'll be turning anyway) and sit in the hot springs. We'll window shop in Aspen, and eat some good food. We'll hang out with friends and tour the fairy caves. I'm sure there will be beer.

I just found out my horse is pregnant. It's bittersweet, because I was preparing for some shows, but ill be happy to have a cute little one around.

Congrats, happy birthdays and yay to all these good things!!
It's a warm night so I can open the door and let the night jasmine fill the house with it's fabulous smell.
Pita the cat went to the vet today. She has lost weight due to not eating well (has always been an issue) but her bloodwork was all good - low sugar, normal liver function, no anemia, and her kidney function numbers were better than last year. She's still deaf and still has no teeth but she's well hydrated and otherwise pretty healthy for an old lady.
She was not exactly happy with the whole deal but Go Pita!

My abs are killing me!

This is a happy thing because it means my back problems are resolved enough that I was able to work really hard in my lesson today and make progress.

My baby is moving around. I enjoy watching my belly move as he kicks and rolls around. Pretty neat
