College course is going well, passed my first assessment this week and got a "great work" on my assignment. Not bad for an old fogey who hasn't studied since the late eighties!

I saw a very beautiful falcon about half an hour ago. S/he was poised on a wire, scanning the horizon. Her skull was small, but looked, from my vantage point below, very flat.
Predator birds are often so beautiful. Such a contradiction.

Riding a bike can make you fat, here's how.
After a short spin around the block we come back and run into our neighbors. After chatting with them a bit she thanked me for some blueberry cobbler I shared a few weeks ago then proceeded to ask if I like devils food cake. Uh...YES, I never turn down dessert. So she brings me a huge piece AND homemade vanilla ice cream.
If we hadn't gone for that bike ride we wouldn't have run into them and I wouldn't be stuffing my face...um, delicately eating cake and ice cream for dessert tonight.

Make sure you get their recipe as you're whopping hiney because this stuff was GOOD. DH said "How come our ice cream never turns out this creamy..." And the cake warmed for a few seconds in the microwave was like warm chocolate heaven. *swoon*

Eddy didn't have to have another brazilian and pee test this morning. I don't know who's happier him or me. But yay his infection is gone. I love my Eddy.

Had a gift card for Amazon so I got a pair of Levis skinny cargo pants and a set of waterproof eyeliner in awesome colors - Royal blue, silver blue, metallic green, copper, gold, brown, black, white (the only color I don't think I will ever use).
Got them today!

You might be their new idol.

This is probably silly, but I really enjoy putting half and half in my coffee from this adorable little glass jar and it tastes great to boot.

Well, first of all... I got a 100% on my Algebra quiz today! I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've gotten a 100% on anything math related since like... 3rd grade.
AND I have this really cute little curl going on at the front of my hair that's making me laugh! I wish my whole head would curl like that. I can't stop playing with it...

I'm surprised I didn't post this here (well I didn't see it if I did at least) :
I took the first of my certification exams. It was a written exam with 135 questions. I had 3 hours to take the test. I needed to pass with an 80% or higher. I finished the test in 45 minutes and got two wrong. I got a 98%!!!!
I hestitated taking this test for like 3 years for fear. Little did I know that I am WAY too strict on myself!!!!
So now I have to wait for CA to pass its budget so that the oral exams can be scheduled and I can take and pass THAT test with flying colors. And then I will be changing careers!
ETA: I took the exam the day before my oral surgery. I was in some serious pain. Thankfully the Advil didn't interfere with my brain.

My horse massage therapist is one of those people who is strongly pro-horse and not afraid to tell owners they are doing the wrong thing for thei horses. I respect that about her, and her interest in my horse's well-being is why I pay her to help with it.
I've never heard her say good things about a horse's treatment until recently. She is telling everyone what a great job I'm doing with my horse and her description of his conditioning to me today was "magnificent." That means more coming from her than just about any other person. e

I was offered the job today! I was shocked because I just interviewed on Tuesday and they told me they'd get back to me within a couple of weeks. I thought I might hear back next week and then hopefully get called for a second interview, but nope, they just hired me! Now for the lengthy background check, which I have no worries about, it will just take a while. But, yay!
