Let's share happy things!

Our camera died, and we've had some dumb luck replacing it. Anyways, what's wrong with it is the lens which causes it to have a fatal error immediately upon starting. So I couldn't even pull the last pics off the memory card, and my computer does not have a sd slot.

But today I realized my printer does!
My husband got called back to work after being laid off for almost 2 years! Hes a union electrician, so when the economy crashed, the unions got hit hard. Were lucky that his branch of the IBEW lets its members keep health insurance, even if you're laid off. Well hes back to work for a company hes worked for in the past - hes happy as a clam - and so am I!

I'm going back to school for medical coding and am doing really well in my classes! I havent taken a biology class *ever* (I have a BFA in graphic design... and had no sciences required previously) and I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying it!

I'm happy that there are people here that take the time to think of others, even if is only as long as it takes to type "thinking of you" "hugs" "wishing you the best." That there are those that let me vent to them, and try to help me through it.

I'm also happy that a stranger was kind enough to give my husband & I a ride last night. We had walked to a local pub (about 2 miles) for dinner. We knew there were thunderstorms in the metro area, but they all seemed to be north of us and moving to the northeast. Well we had a storm cell decide to park right over us for over 90 minutes. We were going to tough it out and walk in the torrential downpour, but because of the lightning we thought we'd call a dear friend to come pick us up. We couldn't get a hold of him, and struck up a conversation with a gentleman that was trying to get up the gumption to run to his car. Hearing that we were there without a vehicle he offered to give us a ride.

And our server told me I was beautiful, and that she loved my hair.

NINJ - there are zillions of online pharmacies. Most are shaky at best but I've used a few of them over the past 2 or 3 years because the savings have been huge for me (my insurance doesn't cover either of my prescriptions and the one costs $25 per pill here in the US). I've used medsmex many times but then found a couple cheaper places for my particular prescription. These places come and go but I've used these 2 since last year - QZmeds.com and 33drugs.com.
I always use my debit card (which never has a high balance) or I buy a low balance credit card. I never use my regular credit cards that have super high credit limits in case something gets hacked. It's worth a risk for me. With just the 18 day migraine I had this month I saved around $440.

Anyway, more good things --
I think my migraine is gone or at least on the run.
It is a perfect summer day here.
I had my favorite breakfast at a favorite diner this morn (corned beef hash omelet).
I found some tea that I love for a pretty good deal on Amazon.com.

I just found out my husband was promoted again! So happy for him.

I'm learning to swim for real...not half a**ed strokes like I have been doing since childhood. I'm happy but tired from daily swim lessons.

I like everyone I work with and have a very stress free job.

I have managed to maintain my weight loss. I'm thinking I'm going to buckle down again and actively try to lose weight again when fall comes around. I'm having way too much fun this summer to try to limit myself.
While I'm not super happy about it I think I found the root of my son's reading/comprehension problems. This might answer a ton of questions and is a step in the right direction.

And the reading program we have been doing at home is really helping. Finally some light in what has been dark for a few years.

This video made me happy.
Women.... Who made 'em? God must have been a... genius. Their hair. They say that the hair is everything, you know? Have you ever buried your nose in a mountain of curls, and just wanted to go to sleep forever?

This is the sweetest woman - she was a hospital volunteer when I had brain tumor surgery and I told her (as much as I could croak at that time) if she was ever interested, I'd love to get together with her. I think she was out of NYC for a long time.

All of a sudden, up she pops up in an e-mail saying her life has been a little crazy but she has always wanted to get in touch with me. I'm delighted!

Happy things huh?

I'm getting married in 19 days!!!! I'm super excited! I also got my wedding dress on Friday!

My kitty has lost some weight (which is good, she was getting into bowling ball on sticks territory). And she's not the only one - I'm the thinnest I've been since highschool, all in the last year.

And my future hubby is no longer 3 hours away, he's here!

Hey my mood just got better - I've been pretty down being off work for an injury. Wait - I go back tomorrow! Yay!

And yay for everyone else's happy!
Congrats Dragon87! Very exciting!

Um, my happy thing would be....That my dad finally sorta has a job. We lost our job 3-4 months ago, but we still had a small income, just enough for a family with 7 kids to survive.
<3 Our love is like the wind; I can't see it. But I can feel it. <3
