DH is finally taking sobriety seriously and his mental state has improved dramatically. All around this has helped improve our family so much.

Those nice $5 metal finger shields with foam inside that they make for graceful people like me who just might smash their finger in the car door, hard, and their finger swells up giant and turns black. Yes, those finger shields make people like me very very happy.

My cousin is out of the hospital and healing, after rolling over and totalling a cement truck. I'm happy he is alive! (The accident was not his fault.) I think that should go in the Thankful thread.
No school for son next week, I get to sleep in! (at least one day, LOL)

Got some mousse in the post today but it wasn't what I ordered, when I emailed the company they said I could keep it and they'd send the right one as well. Very quick reply too - I like good customer service, especially given it was my first order with them, I'm not a regular or anything.
Also got a $100 voucher for a hardware/garden centre, for completing surveys online. Am off shopping tomorrow for new plants and other stuff. I have a strange affinity for hardware shops.

Already got a Secret Santa package in the mail! (not the NC Secret Santa, this is a private exchange from an ex-NC member). I want to open it but we are trying to hold out til at least after Thanksgiving. It's hard! : )
