I'm almost done with work for today (5 minutes to go!), and I don't have to work at all next weekend! Woot!
Also, my friend is making us taco salads tonight for dinner. Yes!

I was worried the dentist was going to have to do some big procedure on my normally perfectly healthy teeth, due to a lower back cavity filling that keeps falling out.
I was picturing painkillers, swelling, days of discomfort, and general malaise.
Instead, he simply asked if I minded silver, I said no, and voila! He filled it, did a cleaning, and I'm good to go.
Yay for simple resolutions!

Thank you! I'm so happy to say he's doing well night nurse was in a half hour ago checking up on him, his body temp is a little low right now but that's so much better than the 103+ it's been the last three days.
Thank you all for your positive thoughts and concern it really means a lot to me.

What a fun day! Went to the local super campy musical theater with my family. Last show before they break out a new one so the actors were realy turning on their attempts to make each other break character with ad libbing. It's been a while since I laughed so hard!

I woke up to an empty house today, and empty it will remain until 3pm! It's so quiet!!!!
My boys are in school. My little man got his older brother's kindergarten teacher. She is a great teacher. She makes learning fun, and thinks of new games for them to do every day. And she's very good at fostering independence and confidence. he can be bashful around people he doesn't know, but she pulled him out of it in record time.
My older son's teacher, so far I like. I don't have an annoying paper I have to sign every.single.day and twice on fridays or my son gets points off his citizenship grade. For spelling, they get their words on Mondays in the form of a pre-test. Their final list to study for the week are only the ones they missed. He is a natural at spelling, so I love this idea. He usually knows all but a few words on his list. Then all he has to do is write them down 5-10 times and he has it. His last teacher made them do daily homework with the whole list some of which was quite time consuming. That was a whole lot of unnecessary work for him that would have been better spent in other subjects. He hated it, and would drag it on. And I hated making him do it, but she made it a part of his grade.

My bf's mom did not buy the puppy she liked at the deplorable puppy mill store. Instead she got a kitty from the shelter! I am overjoyed.

Is it wrong of me to say that I have absolutely NOTHING going on in my life to be happy about? And if it is, is there a thread for us miserable people who wish we could buy a new life, with some happiness built in?

Honey, what would make you happy? Are you being realistic with what you think would make you happy? I don't think it's a question of being wrong to say you have absolutely nothing going on in your life to be happy, but maybe a question of perspective. What is making you so desperately unhappy?

I went to the dentist really scared because a tooth hurt and turned out to be nothing. Yippee!!! Had pizza to celebrate and I'm feeling very relaxed for a change. Life... is just a bowl of cherries... Ha Ha

I took my glasses in today to get them fixed (the nose pad broke off). The lady took them in the back and a few minutes later came out with both nose pads replaced. She said they normally charge $8, but she wasn't going to charge me! Yay!!! How sweet is that?
