I also hope that Ryan doesn't turn out to be a nut. I'm currently living vicariously through Amber. LOL!!!!

oh wow. adam was such a rockstar, helping christina, watching their sons friend and the baby. when he went to get her pot, wow...that was super sweet!!!

jasmine was being kind of witchy. she fits the stereotype of the angry, bossy black woman. i don't like that. where was jabari?

on my that little girl isn't adjusting to having a brother. the parents are sort of favoring him. i understand they want to make him feel welcomed. good that they went out with her alone.

drew shouldn't have asked mom's bf to keep that secret and i agree he shouldn't have agreed to but i understand why he did that. ray ramono is a better match for her. looks like next week the ish hits the fan.

wow, amber's guy. i like them together but my goodness, he's fragile and i hope he doesn't hurt himself or her.

I agree ^^. Adam was so sweet. Max on the other hand. Aghhh! I wanted to smack him!! He is relentless.

I love how Amber is growing up. I like her alot. I hope this new guy can keep it together. He's definitely walking a tight rope. She's good for him so hopefully their relationship helps him heal and feel grounded.

Mark's speech about sex and birth control made even me uncomfortable! If my mom's boyfriend gave me that speech when I was that age, I would have died. I loved that Ray Romano asked Sarah why she needed to know about that going on in her son's life.

Adam was truly amazing caring for his household the way he did. And I'm not setting the bar lower because he's a guy. I don't think I could have kept my head on straight during that kind of chaos. Max was truly awful. I missed a couple of episodes. How is he feeling about his mom's illness?

Sydney reminds me so much of my 7 year old (this episode and the sore loser one from a while back). I can't imagine how he would react if a similar aged girl came to live us and he's not even an only child.

As someone who is married to a man with some serious "Crosby" moments I know where she is coming from. Case in point, I give my husband the grocery list for Thanksgiving. Told him to take a pen to mark stuff off so he wouldn't forget stuff. He didn't, and he forgot stuff. There was one hard to find item so I wrote "ask for help". He didn't, and bought the wrong thing. Lastly, I only ask for specific name brands for two items. Did he buy them. Nope. He said it doesn't matter. I don't care. I grew up on Nilla Wafers. That's what I wrote down. That's what I wanted. LOL

Damn near had a nervous breakdown

ok your explanation makes sense and my mother said the same thing about being married to a guy who is flighty about stuff. i think he was such a good guy at the party and he realized he wasn't helping like he should. i love that they show real couple stuff.

this is one of my favorite shows on tv!!!!

Yep, I'm totally with Trenell. I'm not sure I'd call my husband flighty but he is pretty good at choosing what's important and what's not, even if I already tell him what's important to me.

I feel like Ryan is going to be a little crazy. Maybe hit ashley in one of his flashbacks.

If Max was a real person, in real life and he was sitting next to me throwing one of his fits from this last episode, I WOULD SMACK HIS MOUTH. OMG. Go Adam!!!! I really would have smacked Max's mouth when he was throwing a fit. Poor Christina

Also Sydney is such a spoiled brat. I love Victor and I'm glad he's blooming and settling into his new family and making new friends.

WHOA Ryan! He went in on that guy.

Tonight Hank seemed pathetic and gross. I'm just not into the cheating part and Sarah choosing the job over the wedding was so wrong.

It was so sweet that Max danced with his mom.

Something's going to happen with Ryan.

Completely agree with all of the above. I didn't care for Hank this episode. I'm not sure what Sarah sees in him or why she would chose the job over a romantic trip with her fiancť. The ish is hitting the fan next week though!!

hipstersoul those were some juicy possibilities for ryan/amber. she REALLY cares for him but he's also REALLY not stable. bad mix. granddad is going to feel bad his involvement with ryan is how they met. amber can't catch a break with a nice age appropriate guy.

max is such a GOOD actor. the dance scene almost had the tears rolling, i said almost...

i don't "feel" sarah and her fiancee are a good match but i agree they should separate before she starts with hank. it's obvious they feel something for each other. they are a more spicy and in some ways equal pairing but sarah has a thing for being a caretaker in relationships and hank appears to need plenty of babysitting. this could go different ways good or bad. i will say, their love triangle is messy but i think it reflects what happens in life, often.

drawing a name blank but victor's mom was being so wrong when hubby was excited about getting a big job and providing for the family. just cause she's not happy she's making it seem like life has to stop for victor to get acclimated to the family. i think it's good they are getting him more involved and allowing him to have playdates with kids from the old hood but i don't think they all need to sit at home and sing kumbaya for him to be a part of the family.

crosby's new neighbor is a real whack job. having had a crazy lady in our neighborhood, wow, it's the pits!! not sure how that's all going to turn out.

Unhappy

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this show is so good!

okay, i asked earlier here if anyone thought christina might die. i'm so bummed that it looks like she might. i mean that is real life but wow.

i'm so happy the luncheonette gets to stay open. i wonder if that woman will have a recurring role. she's so mean and bitter. i mean if you live in certain parts of san fran you know it's a certain way. what was she expecting the burbs?? kudos to crosby for thinking to get the neighbors in on the case. brilliant actually.

mark broke up with sarah. it's for the best. his analysis of her being the caretaker for the men in her life and not wanting to be with someone who is healthy and whole is true. i just hope if her and hank get together it's not some tragic bad love thing. that could go a bunch of different ways.

oh boy, ryan. trouble, trouble, trouble. he won't listen to anybody. i don't know if he was like that before the war and it's worse now or what but dude has issues with taking direction. i know he's digging amber but i hope they separate before she gets hurt. i'm kind of scared for her. dude is a time bomb!!

i understand victor's mom's persistence in helping him feel good about himself and school BUT i think he should have been disciplined for talking to his mom so poorly. that should not be allowed. i know he's adopted, you feel bad he hasn't been told he's smart, and a whole bunch of other stuff but he can't think it's acceptable to talk so poorly to his mother, his sister and later on other women. maybe dad needs to step in too on this front.

sooooooo what did y'all think of this weeks episode?

Another great episode. I feel bad for Mark. It's obvious Sarah has to rescue broken men and is sabotaging her relationship with a solid guy. Hank is being completely selfish and inappropriate. I don't think he would be good for Sarah. He needs her but I'm not sure he has much to offer other than drama and gloom. Amber seems to be following in mom's footsteps. Ryan is too fragile. He needs to work on himself first. He's a ticking time bomb.

Next weeks episode, omg!! Just watching the previews I got choked up. It's gonna be very emotional. Christina will be very sick but I think she'll get through it. I hope!!! I wonder if mark and Sarah will get back together or will he be written off the show. I'm hoping the ratings are going up so they don't cancel the show. So good!!

^^^ cancel the show...don't even speak such a thing.

i don't know why but from the beginning i thought christina might die. i love her as a character but her dying and all that could come from that would be a writers dream. a single dad with an autistic son and a toddler and a daughter off at college. the possibilities. i think it would show the side of life that not every person with breast cancer survives.

you're right, hank is gloomy but there's also a fun, soft side to him. so i guess sarah is moving again. she needs to just stay at the parents and not keep moving around. maybe her son will opt to keep living with the teacher and she'll let him since she's been moving him so much. of course if that happens him and the girl will have a free for all and teen pregnancy could easily be written end.

i don't want the season to end!!!!

I just watched this week's episode. OMG WATERWORKS!!!!!!!

Kristina made it! Thank heavens!!

Hank and Sarah...well, I don't know how I feel about that yet

Amber and Ryan. Amber is so BRAVE and STRONG. She broke up with Ryan. That was the right thing to do. She's learned from her mum's mistakes regarding trying to fix men.

Crosby and Jasmine want to have another baby. I was waiting for that YAY!!!!

I love this show!!!! They are all so loving.

Yay Amber!

I thought the rest of the show was predictable Christmas episode stuff but I did NOT see Amber's response coming at all!

Its ironic how her mother continues to make the same mistake.
