The only bad thing about pets is that they live so much shorter lives then we do.

Awww I am so sorry to hear that about your sweet kitty friend. (((hugs)))
The steroid shot they gave him has really perked him up. May be only temporary but at least he seems to be enjoying himself for a while.

I just read your post now, and I'm so sorry to hear this.

I just adore cats. We just lost our precious cat to renal failure this past August. It was the hardest thing for me. She was my best friend, was with me all the time, and we had her for 17 years. I am still so lost and lonely without her after 2 months. The house just isn't the same without her.

For almost one year, my husband gave her subcutaneous fluids every day to flush her kidneys, which most definitely helped her live longer. She also had hyperthyroidism, common in older cats.

My prayers go out for you and Roscoe. Just enjoy every minute with him. You will know when the time is right. He will tell you.

I know the steroid shot is not a cure all, but it sure has given him back his spunk for the time being. When he wants to be alone, I know he isn't feeling well. Lately he has wanted to cuddle. Love the little guy!!!

He is very sick today. We think we are probably going to have to make a decision tomorrow (small town with no emergency vet care on Sundays). Can't stop crying. Love the little guy so much.

Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
Oh munchkin, I'm so sorry to hear about Roscoe. I wish you didn't have to go through the sadness.

I was born to be a pessimist. My blood type is B Negative.
good luck munchkin with whatever decision you make.
((HUGS)) sending loving, caring vibes to give you strength and support. I'm sorry you are facing this decision.

This happened for us on a Sunday as well, our pup had to suffer the night until morning. Try to enjoy your time together today, spoil him with love and attention.

So sorry munchkin Big hugs to you.
When I first read that Roscoe was losing muscle control, I was going to suggest brain tumor. Our family cat was 16 years old when we had to let her go, it turned out she had a brain tumor. She became very shaky, and was losing muscle control.
My mom came home one day and there was some blood and she was very, very unwell (sorry but trying I be vague) My mom knew it was time at that point.
You have been a wonderful cat mommy. Hang in there.

So sorry munchkin....we have had sick pets too. It is so hard. They have good days and bad days. Hugs...
I'm so sorry. Hugs to you and Roscoe.
RIP Roscoe, we will love you forever.

Roscoe was put to sleep Nov. 14 at 1:30 pm. We miss him so much. He loved everybody and everybody loved him. We buried him with some pictures and toys in the woods by our house where he used to sleep and watch us before he came to live here. I can't thank the neighbors enough who gave him to us. He was such a big part of our family and will be missed terribly.
