I use a skein winder and a ball winder (it makes pull skeins.) As long as you're not doing something like ribbon yarn (which I do most of the time), it makes the task much faster. The pull skeins are easier to use, as long as they are not a "slippery" fiber. There are some fibers that are difficult, no matter what you do.

I had forgotten how soothing the rhythm of crocheting can be.

(of course I'm doing very simple stitches)

Color me jellis!!

I can crochet a little, but I'm not good at it.

Mr. Spring taught himself to knit and just watching him I thought "Yep, no way am I going to be able to do that..."

Cute sweater!

I'm stuck on this darn scarf. I can't decide if I want to make it longer or stop now. I've cut enough for fringe so it's up to me. I hate this point in my projects. What if I cast off and I'm not happy with it???

You can always make another one and make changes on that one.

I finished my scarf and I'm really pleased with how it came out. I can't decide if I want to put it up for sale or keep it for myself. My mom is lusting after it too. When I finished the other day she said "Can I have it for Christmas?" Here are some pics of it. The fringe looks uneven but it's just the back fringe sticking out and I'm too lazy right now to take another pic I may have (almost) fixed my bad lighting dilemma. Sorry the pics are so big. I'm done fighting with photobucket

Thanks you two! I'm loving it more and more. I even went back and got more of that type of yarn.

It's 3 different yarns together knitted on huge 35 needles. I really like working with the bigger needles plus it goes so quickly

Here is the twist cowl I made for my mom this week. I love these. This is my third one and I just got another skein to make a beige one for my sister for Christmas. It's more chocolate brown than the picture shows.

I love it on you! As soon as it was done I knew you'd like it. The ruffle scarves are so delicate and feminine. I love them.

I like the delicateness, and I've been eyeballing that color scheme since September, lol. I love that color scheme.
