Need fashion help--for the kids!
My MIL sent this dress to my daughter for her birthday:
The colors look great on my daughter, so I decided to use it for holiday pictures this year. The bodice is a very dark almost-brown/burgandy, and the beading on the skirt is the same color.
My first question is, would cream colored tights look weird?
My second question is, what colors should I dress my son in for pictures? I'm going shopping today and am having a really hard time figuring out an outfit for him.

It's hard to tell, but I think cream-colored should be fine. I think black would work as well, though.

You could put your son in chocolate brown, cream, and gray.

Yeah, it's hard to see the true colr because it's very dark. It's one of those colors that you can't really see until it's in really bright light, like sunlight.

This would be great! I was also thinking some light blue, cream, and brown or grey.
Cream tights would be perfect for a little girl in that dress. You could also find a matchy pink tights.

Thanks! Now if only I can find those colors. Ugh. Everything seems to be red for boys with light brown cords here. I know I DO NOT want red.

I think cream tights would be very cute on her, and then for your son a chocolate, cream and baby blue, like mentioned above.
More importantly, how will she wear her hair

I'm still undecided, but I think I want it at least half down. She usually has it braided somehow. She loves her "princess" hair styles. This looked really cute, so I may find ribbons that match and do it again:
Or maybe I'll braid a "headband" across the front.

Oooh that is very cute, but I'm very partial to the braided headband look, it's one of my faves

Here is one of the proofs from today. I went with the braided headband.
I'm sorry if it's large. I can't resize it in Photobucket on my iPad.

You appear to have a little heartbreaker on your hands! That smirk is so charming!
So my personality in that photo, just love it.
The colors worked perfectly on them.
