My ex changed his name when he was 18 from Laknauth to Gregg. Big change, I wonder how long it took his family to get used to it but they are cool.
I love my name (Nadia). It's common but not too common and combined with my last name it's rare. There is another person in the U.S. with my first and last name (urgh) who took the gmail address I want. I just have it backwards.

I hated my name when I was younger and still do. I wanted to change it but it was just too much work. Plus, everyone I know (except the bf, his fam, and friends) calls me by my first name or a nickname related to it.
My bf calls me by my middle name, which I've always preferred. He also introduces me by my middle name, almost no one knows that isn't my first name . I always hated that my family didn't call me by my middle name, everyone who has a middle name in my fam gets called by it EXCEPT me. I always tell my mom it was pointless to give me a middle name if she didn't intend on calling me by it. She just ignores me when I mention this, what a jerk lol.
But yea, hate my extremely common name. Always have, always will.

My name is very hillbilly sounding. I got made fun of a lot. I was named after a really bad country song. It's the type of country song people think of when they make fun of the genre. To say that I hate that song with a fiery passion of a thousand suns would be a gross understatement. People would sing it to me all the time in their worst singing voice.
My first best friend was born writer. She often used me as a character in her stories. When one of my character names caught on with everyone I didn't complain. I've been going by that ever since.

My name is Asia and I thought about changing it but there's really no other name I could see myself having. And Asia goes nicely with my last name that also begins with an A. I hear the same old schitck: hey do you have a cousin named China? Or is your last name Minor as in Asia Minor. That was probably the most clever one I've heard. Bad pick up line a guy tried to use: Can I ride your Great Wall? People are so damn cheesy

That's funny. I have an uncommon first name and growing up, I hated it and wished I could change it to something more common that was easy for people to pronounce and spell. Now you couldn't pay me to change my name.

I love my name! Love it! My goddaughter has half of my name, which is way too cool
ETA: I did a gogle search for my goddaughter's name and found out it's African and means "love," well, that hybrid turned out well. I also found quite a few people on facebook with my first name, now when did that happen?

Your name is cool.
Yeah, I felt the same when I checked for my name. Went from nobody else to almost two pages of results. I even found a Chinese (or maybe it's Japanese) Sairis!

There are only three people with my first name on FB. If you only searched by my last name, there are about 30 pages full of people with it.

I love the name Aurora.
My name is Linda. Booooring and middle-ageish! My middle name is Grace, after my mom, which I love. I plan on eventually starting to use Grace as my first name.

One thing about my name, (Erin) is there is a male name that sounds almost exactly like it (Aaron). In 3rd grade my teacher sat me next to a boy named Aaron and always yelled at me when I would answer when she intended to call on Aaron. She didn't make much distinction that I could hear when saying our names, nor was she able to effectively use eye contact to indicate which of us she was calling on since we sat right next to each other. She would say, "No, Erin, I said AH-ron!" No you didn't, meanie The whole problem would have been solved if she would have just moved one of us to another part of the classroom!
Anyway, in general I do like my name. I don't encounter too many people with it in my day to day life, and it is not a "girly" name, which suits me because I am not very girly myself. It is not so uncommon that people butcher it's pronunciation, although with the local accent here, some people do (I get "Urn" or "UR-in" a lot, and I have one friend who says it that way intentionally to be funny). I can't really imagine having a different name.
My middle name (Lindsay) I also like, but I would feel weird having people call me that.
My maiden name sounded like a relatively common surname, but was spelled differently (German spelling) and most people pronounced it wrong. Since I got married and (at first, reluctantly) tacked my hubby's surname onto my old name (now I have 2 middle names, Lindsay and my maiden name), I like his last name better. It is of Italian origin and probably pretty common in Italy, but in the community where we live it is not common.

My little sister has an unusual name, she wanted to changed it when she was in the 4th grade, we never could call her the name she chose, and she didn't want to change it for long.
My mom on the other hand, started going by a nickname when she was 18, and although I don't know if it is legally changed, it's on all that she's known by.

Me too! I was thinking now what could her name be...? And that song came into my head haha.
The name is pretty, but I could see where that would get annoying (if that is in fact your name).

I would never change my name.
I have a very common first and last name (in Spanish speaking countries).
My name is Ana Rodriguez. Super boring. It's so common that I can share it on a public forum because if you try to Google it or find me on Facebook, you probably won't ever get to me. I've tried it.

Less likely but it could also be:
She said, here’s your one chance Fancy don’t let me down
Here’s your one chance Fancy don’t let me down
Lord, forgive me for what I do
But if you want out well it’s up to you
Now don’t let me down
Your mama’s gonna help you uptown
