That's not it, that song is a billion times better than the song I was named after. Imagine a more hee-hawish version of Elvria by the oak ridge boys, with really bad singing. Elvira is not my name either. Imagine all the loud drunken bad renditions of there's a tear in my beer, and that's how people sounded when they sang it to me.
It's actually a depressing song, I don't know what they were thinking.
The song seems to have been forgetting to history. i couldn't find it on the internet at all.

I have one of the most common names ever! First and last. I know of 2 semi-famous people with my name. And another person with my name in the same town as me... A couple months ago my mom called me and said someone with my name -- first, middle and last -- died in a flood near her. That was weird.

Jolene is a freaking awesome song.
Now I'm curious, cympreni! I wanna know if I know the song! Delta Dawn?
Oh, yeah, I forgot to answer the OP. Mine is Leigh Anne, which I like because I like the way it's spelled. I don't think it would fit me as well if it were spelled Leeann or Leanne or any of the other variations. But I never could find it on stickers or bike license plates when I was a kid, which used to bum me out.

I dislike my name. It's extremely common...only in old ladies now, not so much youngsters. And my last name is common too. There is nothing distinctive about it. I should have changed it when I was 20, rather than living with it for so long.
I love the name Natasha. I wish that was my name.

Nope. I'm not sure how popular it was. Out of curiosity I searched for it by the name and lyrics. I got 4 wrong songs for the name, and zilch for the lyrics.

My first name is very uncommon since it is Japanese. I'm the only person in the states with my first and last name--and I'm the only person in my uni with my first name. I've never met someone with the same name as mine.
As for my last name--I hate it. Can't wait to get married and have another name.

So is mine. I guess that's why I'm surprised that some people are so secretive. I figure no one can do anything without my last name, right??

My friend's name is Ezza and teachers would pronounce her name so badly! Its pronounced "Ih-zzah" but she would get "Ee-zza" "Eh-zza".
And my brother's name is Ryan and he gets called Brian. Smh. My other brother's name is Darrius and they spell it wrong. They take out an "R". He could never find anything with his name on it.
My mom and dad have the same name except my dad's name has a "La" in front of it. My stepdad is always asked if his name is Anthony, but it's just Tony.
My sister is Gabrielle, but nobody calls her that. We call her Gabi, and all spell it different. Gabi, Gabbie, Gabby. But she's 6 and so she has all these cutesy nicknames that we call her at home. It seems like all the guys on my mom's side is named either Robert, Raymond or Wendell. Which are named after my great great great uncles. I'm determined to name one son Alphonso, he's an uncle who hasn't been used or gotten into trouble.
When I tell people my boyfriend's name, Mohamed Ali Mohamed, (my grandma laughed, because she thought I was joking) they ask if that's his real name, and it is, but it isn't. He moved here to the states and that's what they changed his name to. VERY common name.
Everyone in my family has problems with their names. Lmao.

I like that name, My brother always talked about naming his daughter Annelise, but he has two sons.
I don't like my name; I never have. My name is Johanna, my boyfriend calls me Hanna, pronounced like Hana, which I find more tolerable. When I was a child I always wanted to change my name, but now I imagine it would be odd to do so. Besides, I can live with Hana.
I like my daughter's name, Maya. She tells me she likes it as well.

Thanks
I love my name too, except when people decide to call me "Nat". I'm learning to like it because there are so many people that call me that. Or Natty. But I grew up getting called Tash.

I go by Cori. My name is actually Corinne. I don't have a problem with my full name, I've just always gone by Cori.
When I was younger I hated my name. To me it was a boys name. I desperately wanted to be a Leah or a Sara. When I was 12 I seriously considered going by my middle name.
Now more than anything I realize I am SO a Cori. No other name would fit me as well. I'd spell it different. Like maybe Corie. It would look old fashioned and pretty.

I'm a Sarah. You don't get more common than that! It's okay, though. It suits me.
