Haha. I used to see that refered to as SORAS: Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrom. The child goes up the stairs one episode, and comes back down, (whether it's the next episode, or six months later) several years older.

So today Marlena was giving the "I'm devoted" speech. Does this compare to when she was giving Roman the "We were made to fit together" while rubbing up against him speeches back before she ran away with a guy who had unintentionally been imitating him for years? Please, oh, please, let her follow her normal pattern and end things with John in the near-ish future. (Near being a relative term, as I tend to watch 2-3 episodes a year... and happened to get this one today.)

Adrienne and Justin Kiriakis (sp.?) are his parents. He's gay. Poor Will...he's in such agony. I feel sorry for him.

I want to know what the deal is with the new town square. Is it indoors or out? In the same scene you'll have some people in a heavy hat and coat, and others in short sleeves.

Suspension of reality? Well, I guess all tv, and especially soaps, is one giant suspension of reality.
I wanted to say how impressed I've been with the actor who plays Will. If he keeps this up, he will deserve a daytime Emmy, imo.

So I finally caught up with my DVR of Days.
Who do you think Madison's mystery caller will be?
Does any one else want Jack to just go away?
And, yay Chad and Melanie, but Abby Is going to be MAD despite the crazy crush on Austin.

ITA with all of this! ....I DO want Jack to go away. He gets on my nerves big time and I want Jen to be with Daniel. I've been wondering about the mystery caller. I don't have a guess, yet. I want Chad and Mel to be together too, but I think it will ruin her and Abby's friendship, which makes me sad. 
And can't someone please please please "off" John??

I don't think Jen deserves Daniel. I've always liked her, but she's become a whiny wimp. There was a phase where I couldn't stand any of the men on Days as they were all wimps bending to the whims of the women - and now it seems like the female characters are being written that way for the most part. Yuck.
I agree about offing John! I've said before I'm sure DH is a perfectly nice man - but I have no desire to ever see more of his acting!

I think Will is doing a great job, too! I remember when he was born. These kids grow-up so darn fast...................................
I don't think the Abby/Austin thing is so creepy now as long as it remains one-sided.
But Carrie clearly has a thing for Rafe, right?
I think Rafe is WAY too good for Sami and always was.
Apparently Billie and Lucas are both coming back.
Is Patch/Steve (Kayla's husband and Jack's brother) dead? I remember him dying and actually being on a table dead...but he came back. I wasn't sure if he died again.
