So, Ladies, it is so exciting to see a show my partner is working on make it so huge!
Once upon a time is filmed in Vancouver, many of the forest scenes, just a few miles up the mountain roads from my home in North Vancouver. The town of Storybrooke is near my sister's home across town in the Steveston area of Richmond (a Vancouver Suburb).
I find the show so appealing on so many levels, it's really so cool to have a show my mom and dad can watch and enjoy as well as my little 10 year old nephews and even my teen aged sons like it.
I sometimes meet my guy for lunch at the cast and crew catering... I had lunch with the seven dwarves a while back! lol The makeup looked so real I actually was wondering if these short guys were hired because they had big noses and ears.. lol
Anyway, after a slip with storyline, I have instructed my partner to not give me any spoilers!! I want to be surprised, and unfortunately the last show was a bit of a shock. I sure did not expect murder!!!
So sad to see that handsome man go. Now that the Sheriff's position is open, who will take his place?
The one person I was thrilled to see on this show was Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Sidney, the newspaper editor in Storybrooke and the Magic Mirror in the fairytale land.. His character "Gus Fring" from Breaking Bad was SO AMAZING. When my guy met him, he said he was super nice and friendly. I wanted his autograph, but being on the crew means you should never ask for one. Dang!
It will be interesting to see how far this series goes.

The Queen reminds me of Victoria Corderi from Dateline/NBC.

Repeats are Running Now
If anyone missed any episodes here's the time to catch them. I hope this show is a keeper for the network.

My husband said the show doesn't take up where they left off until January 8th. But on the 1st ABC is having a marathon to catch everyone up on the old episodes.

I really like this show. It's definitely my type of show because I love fairy tale/fantasy type shows. I watch the first 2 Shrek movies and crack up like I've never seen them before.
The one thing that does sort of irk me is Henry. Yes, little Henry, one of if not the major character of the show. I feel like they could have cast a different kid to play the part.

I'm wondering what will happen to Henry once "the curse" is broken... I mean we don't know much about how everything works and it is very possible that he doesn't have a fairytale character as a father...I wonder how that will affect him crossing back over with everyone.

Henry wasn't born in that world, and I think he always had a sense that something was wrong even before reading the book.

I finally got a chance to watch the whole last episode. Evil queen! Poor Graham, he had a heart after all.
I'm anxious to see how the story continues..........

While watching the last episode, I caught what the Queen told the Hunter: that she had told Snow a secret of hers, but Snow had not kept it to herself. Not sure what it is or who she told. Queen was married to Snow's father. I'm thinking Snow told her father who Queen really was, so Queen killed him.

Does anyone else think that the Huntsman might have been Rumplestilzkin's son?
I could just be over analyzing.

I hadn't considered that possibility. It could explain his ability to speak English even if raised by wolves for the most part.
I find it interesting that they're making Rumplestiltskin into a sympathetic character to some extent when he seemed purely bad to start off. Very interesting - and also sending the message power corrupts.

I'm certain Rumplestiltskin knows who he is and what's going on. I think he's doing everything he's doing for his own amusement and possibly revenge. But I think it's in his nature to see things to their natural conclusion. We keep hearing that all magic has a price, and I think part of the price of the curse is Emma and the fact that she will break it. Of course, he is ever self serving, so will naturally do whatever he can to come out on top once the curse is broken.
I can't help but wonder if Emma is going to end up getting a hold of his knife somehow.

I totally thought that too. Especially since his demeanor changed towards the queen once he died.

Exactly, and he seemed really invested in making sure the Huntsmans personal effects went to a good home.

This show has not let me down. I missed one episode but I'm still loving it since I know the back story.
Wonder what the queen will do next

I was out at the mall in a gaming store picking up something for my son when who walked in, but little Henry and his mom!
I recognized him right off the bat, but with all the commotion his mother was making, it was impossible to not notice him. Holy cow that woman was a piece of work. I felt so bad for the kid. She was gushing like I had no idea a mom could gush and making a big fuss.
Jared was friendly, sweet and nice, and his mom had photos of him all ready to be autographed, which embarrassed him when he realized his mom was carrying them around with her. The whole 'stage mother' thing was in my face, and I saw it for what it was pretty sad and humiliating for the child. I felt bad for him and kind of embarrassed myself.
I will cross my fingers that his mom grows up and chills out and starts acting like an adult instead of a giddy teenager.
It was really nice, though, to also get a picture with him. Of course on a day when I was in a rush, no make up and my hair was no where near nice. It figures. ack.
The episode was pretty great though, I thought the blind witch was amazing!
