James/Snow/David/Mary Margaret are adorable, but I didn't like this week's episode with them as much as others.
And what's with the new guy?

Anyone have any theories on how Emma will break the curse?

I'm interested in the new guy too. Like for instance, how was he able to enter storybrook, was he a a storybook character too? Anyone remember any fairytale characters that have a talent for writing?
Got this theory about Henry's father from another forum.
"Peter Peter pumpkin eater had a wife and couldn't keep her. Had another and didn't love her..." blah blah blah (I forgot the rest). But this could explain why he "couldn't stay with Emma" and why she said he liked pumpkin pie so much.
I think breaking the curse will either require getting everyone to remember who they really are or defeating The Queen (Regina?), Mr. Gold, or both (since their deal made the curse in the first place).

My daughter was wondering if he's the guy who wrote all of the fairy tales.

Hmm, that's interesting! So maybe like a brother from the "Brothers Grimm"
I wonder if that you make him like the "God" of the fairytale world. That would explain why he can come and go as he pleases

I *almost* felt sorry for the Queen. And then....
Evil Witch!
Actually, I do feel a little sorry for her, watching her face as the King went on and on about Snow and her deceased mother being beauties, etc...what is she? chopped liver?! But why did he marry her just to keep her confined?
And Sydney. hmmm

It probably has to do with whatever Snow shared that she was supposed to keep secret.
The question is, when we find out what secret she didn't keep, will we feel she was correct to share, or that we shouldn't like her so much after all? I like that all the characters have a back story which makes them more complex - and I assume Snow won't be quite so perfect when we know more about hers.

Sydney surprised me. I wasn't expecting the double agent genie that is also mirror mirror on the wall. I'm Captivated. And that plyground must cover some type of portal to the fairytale world. This is like a behind the music for fairytales.

Beauty and the Beast is tonight. It's one of my favorite Disney movies. Yippee!!!
I'm excited to see how they will recreate this one.

I feel so bad for Belle.
I thought it was weird that she wasn't in the town. Usually they have a parallel story line but she never appeared. I was looking for her in the bar the whole episode. Lol At least now we know why.
I like the depth tonight's episode gave to Mr. Gold.
They were really good with making this episode mirror Beauty and the Beast. Belle had both of her signature dresses (the gold and the blue), the pots, the chipped cup, the mention of an old woman selling flowers, the mention of the superficiality of Gaston, the red rose...I oculd go on and on. Loved it!
It looks like next week will be about a Siren/mermaid. (did anyone see the preview, I kind of had my attention elsewhere at the time, but that's what it looked like to me).
The queen is EVIL, as usual.

It's interesting, because I *thought* the mermaid the queen wanted to talk about was going to be Ariel, but it sure didn't seem that way in the preview!

I thought the same thing! But the preview made me think more of the Lady of the Lake.

Why is James staying with Kathryn? He's not being very honorable and it really bugs me.
Really enjoyed the Rumple/Beast-Belle storyline. Every week they give us one more sign of how evil Regina is.

We already knew Gold remembered from some past episodes (or at least strongly suspected) - but now we know Regina knows he knows. Do you think now that he told her his name she has a power over him?
How will their warfare against each other expand?
Do you think "true love's kiss" between Gold and Belle is the answer to ending this curse and taking them all home?

I hadn't thought of the Lady of the Lake connection...Nice!
It looked like the mermaid/siren/lady of the lake changed her face to look like Snow's so maybe the queen put her up to it in order to seduce the Prince and stop him from saving Snow. We know the Prince is looking for her but she took the magic potion so she doesn't even remember him. We also know that at some point Snow has to end up in that glass coffin because they already showed that part several episodes back. Blahhhhh I don't think they'll skip that far ahead though.
For some reason I didn't immediately think of The Little Mermaid. I'm sure they do it at some point though. They are probably saving some of the more popular fairytales for later seasons.

I don't think it is the complete answer but I definitely think it would be a BIG step in the right direction. I mean, Emma is the savior so she is assumed to play a big part in the breaking of the curse. I think that is Emma could find the StoryBrook Belle in the asylum thing and Mr. Gold can learn to let down his guard and love her, the Queen will have more people against her because I think Mr. Gold being vulnerable and open to love will put him on the side of good.
Haha, maybe the moral of this entire t.v. show is that true love conquers all! That's how fairy tales tend to work out anyway....
