Gorgeous girl! Utterly fantastic hair. Don't let anyone talk her into straightening it.

Very pretty! Maybe it's just from the photos, but I think she resembles pre-Botox Andie McDowell.

EDIT: Oh, goodness. I just reread this, and I meant Andie McDowell when she was younger, because she looks really weird and overly botoxed now. I didn't mean that I think your daughter looks prematurely aged or something!

...except if she has to for a role!

Nice shots! I like the top one - that's a really great angle. Do you know which agency took them?

What is she auditioning for? I hope she breaks a leg!

She had them taken buy a man named Israel Fishman on West 30th Street. His business is teeny, and the walls are floor-to-ceiling headshots.

In April she'll be auditioning for summer stock. Also, she's in a musical theater class this semester and when she got there on the first day last week the teacher told them to bring in their headshots, so she was really relieved to have just had them done.

Beautiul girl and hair! Break a leg.

Now I have to ask, how does she keep the roots from going flat from the weight of the length? (I know this isn't the Hair board, but I gotta ask!)

To the best of my knowledge, she takes a semi-thick ringlet from the left side of her head pulls it over to the right side of her head. Then she does the same thing on the right side and brings it to the left side. She does that all the way down the length of her part.

(I can see her doing it in the bathroom, but I don't feel like I'm adequately describing it.)

Nice.

I like the name Melody. You don't hear of that one much since my parents' generation. I don't know why.

The description is fine. They describe that in the CG book too. I do that sometimes, but not enough. Ok, another question then, does she do that while it's wet or after it's dry? I do it while it's wet but maybe I should wait til it's dry?

She does it when it's wet.

Also-- and this is something I'd NEVER do with my hair-- when it's dry she'll put her hand in her hair against her scalp and fluff it up.
