Yeah, you really don't see a lot of the violent stuff. The book put images in my head that I still can't extract from my brain.
After seeing it the second time, I started feeling (surprisingly) sad that some people were *****ing because like two black people are primary characters in the movie. Really? And after reading the books.....they were clearly described as people of color. And the statements on not feeling sympathetic to the Rue character...don't get it at all.
