Wow lol funny stuff.... I hope your parents do get comfortable with the situation eventually.....
Even though i had men out of my race want a relationship i was not sexually attracted to them....
I know they say you are attracted to your choice of men but its like dam i never gave the white chocolate a chance.... But its fine now because i love who I'm with right now and he is Haitian black lol like me...
Term Definition:
Haitian Black:
~ Someone whose parents are Haitian with a sexy nice defined mixed chocolate caramel skin tone but was not born in Haiti and raised practically anywhere else.... That's a Haitian Black.... Lol

I used to share your view, but lately I have been into white men(since they are all around me), and the couple I have come across have been very sexual, freaky, and giving...From a relationship point of view, I worry about other things, but it does depend on the guy.

For some reason i can't picture a white guy being freaky i really don't know why..... It don't want to click in my head.... I might just have to watch some white porn (that might be to extreme so maybe not) lol

If you're already happy with who you're with now, I wouldn't read too much into the white/black difference in men.

I have learned that men are men. You have good ones, bad ones, smart ones, stupid ones, rich ones, poor ones, and everything in between. I am attracted to men. I grew up in inner city Detroit so just about all the guys around me were black. I dated all black guys because that was the environment I was in and when I found somebody I had something in common with or was attracted to, he was black. When I went away to college at Michigan State University, I was a part of the minority. Most of the guys there were white. I spent more time around white guys and got to know them and I learned that they really weren't much different than the black guys I dealt with before. I have dated guys all across the spectrum and it was never about what color they were, but about who they were. My husband is white, Irish more specifically. I didn't marry him because I have a "thing" for white men. I married him because he is a good man who treats me well and I love who he is. I've been treated well by black men, and I have had black men who treated me like crap. I have had white men who were good to me, and white men who treated me like crap. Same goes for other races I have dealt with. I guess I have been fortunate enough to have opportunities to be around a diverse mix of people. It erased many of the stereotypes I was taught growing up.

I live in RI most white populated but I'm attracted to all races although I have only dated two black men who are Nigerian being that I'm Nigerian but personally I don't care who I'm with, as long as the respect is there and he loves me for who I am and a Christian then I'm straight lol. I think people should date whoever make them happy. I would date anyone I'm attracted to even though all my friends are white since I fall under minority in RI but still Im a diverse person and I like it like that

Ewww, some of the comments on this thread are exactly why I don't think interracial relationships always have anything to do with tolerance.

I understand your point, but that is just not how genes work. Genes do not "mix" 50/50. Sometimes, we get more of one parent's traits and less of the other's. Genes are really such a mixed bag, that no matter how much admixture occurs within a society, the spectrum of variation in genetic and phenotypic expression will never cease to exist. Not to mention that skin color is not just influenced by our genes. Where we live and how much UV light we are exposed to are also significant factors.

I've dated all races. I'm such a romantic, I still believe love conquers all. If two people love each other, and they are consenting adults (or similar age teens) I wish them well and don't care about their race, gender, nationality, religion or lack thereof, differences, similarities, hair type etc.

Plus my experience in countries where populations are very racially mixed is that minute shade differences that might not be noticed in other places take on more importance - the hierarchies of colour are even tighter and more controlled, not less so. And there isn't necessarily any greater tolerance in those countries either.

random observation but are all the married WOC on here, married to white men? I've just noticed over a while, that most who do speak about their husbands, they're white. I wonder if curly hair has anything to do with it....

No, I am not married to a white man.
I know plenty of other married women of colour with curly hair who are not married to white men.

I was going to say that I don't actually even know any WOC who wear their hair curly but I do know....one....but again it would be in support of my observation. Hmmmmm.
I really don't care cause y'all ain't celebrating my birthday, but it's what I've noticed....from people who talk about their SOs.
what do I care about interracial relationships...well I'm the "product" of one, so I really could "care less".
Have I ever been in one....well no technically but this white guy was obsessed with me for the like the longest time, and it was freaky and scary. And I went off to college and he would call me and hang up, and then ask my friends if I was still alive. He's stopped now, but that pretty much has scarred me from answering the phone to random numbers.
But, I'm strange, so to find someone as strange as me, well god bless 'em.
Actually I don't even like go looking for SO potential, i don't even socialize, so really I'll probably end up alone, which I'm totally fine with, cause I have **** to do so I don't have time to be bothered.
