I'm trying to compress the information in a seven column spreadsheet created in Excel into a single viewable page in Word.

Any "written for a simpleton" advice would be welcome.

A simple cut and paste would be what I'd do:

Ctrl + A (to select the text)

Ctrl + C (to copy the text)

Open your word document

Ctrl + V (to paste the text)

You can then double-click the columns (click on the dividing lines) to autofit the width to the size of the text.

Or you can click on the Table drop-down menu and then click AutoFit

Okay, since I already did the cut and paste, it sounds like the Table drop down/Autofit is the way to go?

If the problem is including additional columns, I think you go to "View" on the menu and select something along the lines of "view page break" (mine's set to Portuguese). You will see your chart surrounded by a blue line. Just drag it to include more columns. Then go back to "view" and chose the normal option.

If it's not the quantity of columns but the overall size, go to page properties and adjust the zoom and/or set you page to horizontal mode.

Edit: ooops, you meant getting it on Word. I'm having a moment of dyslexia today.
