"Juice Responsibly" because your loading nutrients into the body at a very quick rate. Too much too fast can be poisonous.

Also, fruits contain a high amount of sugar. Don't do it a lot but learn to enjoy it as a treat every once in a while. Your body will thank you later.

Thanks for mentioning this. That's why I do GREEN smoothies more often than the fruit ones because of the high sugar content of the mostly fruit ones. I'm also BIG on adding spinach to fruit smoothies to help balance the sugar because it's an excellent low carb veggie w/ lots of nutrients (like calcium) that has little affect on the taste.

I add a little bit of green to every smoothie/juice. you can't even taste it and it makes me feel better :-)

For juice, I use the Jack LaLanne. For smoothies, I use a stick blender (which I loooooooooove)

Goodies purchased from the market this morning. I also picked up some ground flax seed and some mason jars (to freeze and store)

You can use pulp in bread and muffins, or even some cookies.

Carrot pulp in a rye black bread, for example.

I love my daily smoothie so much I just can't bring myself to try any other variations. I really should try something new, though.

milk
frozen mango
frozen sweet black cherries (I only use 3, they're potent)
1/2 banana
spinach
splash of water

Sometimes the only way I can talk myself into my workout is the promise of my smoothie afterword.

I filled 8 pints and 2 quarts. whew! (My juicer needed a break in the middle)

Now I'm on to the smoothies. I need chocolate/chocolate soy to make the one mentioned upthread. oh, and mangoes and peaches

would it be wrong I just used half a pack of hot chocolate

It weird, I love berries, but I don't like them in smoothies. They seem too overpowering

Spinach in smoothies... I really had never thought of that before. Typed it into Google, and whaddayah know!

This recipe uses almond milk (I'll be sticking with soy, I'm allergic to almonds) and yogurt.

Look at that color!
It seems a variation of the one LAwoman posted, which sounded super yummy as well!

I'll have to pick up some spinach tomorrow. I also have regular/vanilla soy milk in the fridge so hopefully I'll try her recipe instead of my usual chocolate one sometime tomorrow.

I love you guys! I was just online and on youtube last night looking up green smoothies. I've been juicing this past week but I want to try some smoothies this week.

I put a ton of stuff in my juice; probably way too much:
Kale
Spinach
Broccoli
Carrots
Cucumber
Celery
Tomato
Apple
Strawberries
Orange
Lemon
Ginger

You ladies are putting my paltry berry smoothies to shame! I watch my sugar and carbs so can't indulge in bananas and most fruits.
Does anyone have any great spinach combos they would like to share?
I'm going to try some spinach/berry/tomato combo tomorrow.

Ha! Funny! I am the jack of all trades and the master of none

I have 3 bookcases left to assemble and no yogurt for my smoothies :-)

Why am I chewing this smoothie? It doesn't taste bad, but I guess my blender is not going to work. I'm going back to using the juicer

Every smoothie I've ever made tasted of banana, I'm off work this week so I'm going to have a go at making smoothies and juices. Also, instead of spinach can kale be used? I'm spinach intolerant (seriously I am).

I don't have a juicer, will my blender do the same job?

What did you make?

maybe you can try making it in smaller batches or running it thru a strainer.
