Default Any techies/network people? Exif data

Does anyone know what .exif data is (like property details in an image file)?

Apparently, all photographs taken w/ cel phones contain .exif data?

How would one go about removing all .exif data on an image file? Or taking the picture so it contains no .exif data?

As far as I know all digital camera pic files have .exif files too - they usually contain info about the camera, etc. They are usually stored within the pic file, so I don't know of any way to extract them.

You could take a screen grab of the photo and do a save as, I guess?

Committing a crime?

ETA I googled for you and found these options
