Where are all the one-pieces?
It's been many years since I've put a swimsuit on, and all of a sudden (so it seems to me) all you can find in stores are bikinis. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be comfortable in one because my stomach is flabby. I'd like to find a sexy one-piece, which I realize might sound like an oxymoron to some of you! I was thinking one of those cut-out ones might be good, even though they look pretty 80s to me--in fact, I had one in the 80s. The main thing is that I want my belly button covered, but I don't care about exposed flanks.
So I have three guidelines so far:
1) underwire (or else some serious built-in support)
2) reasonably priced (under $75)
3) if possible, halter
Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

I haven't seen a cut-out suit that wasn't in a porn movie in many years. Tankinis seem to be popular for those who like 2 pieces but don't want belly exposure. Personally, I like Lands End for swim suits, but I can't vouch for how sexy they are. I just like good coverage, good support, and not to feel like a beached whale...and LE gives me all of that. They have some underwire and halter styles as well.

You can look at swimoutlet. I see one pieces everywhere. I just saw a bunch at tjmaxx/marshalls and macys.
ETA - what are cutouts? Monokinis? Those are hot..i want to get one if i get this body in shape soon.
I find tankinis to be worse than bikinis for belly. It just accentuates the pooch and love handles even more on me.

Really?? Do other people feel this way? I'm very conservative and I wouldn't want to give that impression. But I don't know why a cut-out one piece would look more pornographic than a two-piece.
I'm not a fan of tankinis because most of the ones I've seen have a loose top half, almost like a shirt. I want my swimsuit to be tight.
I thought of Lands End but I wanted something sexier.

Yeah, I meant monokinis. I couldn't think of the word. I'll check out the swimoutlet site--thanks!

Anthropologie has some beautiful one-piece suits, but they're about double your price limit. They may have some on sale, though!
Have you tried ShopStyle?

LOL definitely not, but they are imo the sexiest type of swimwear out now. I normally wear bikinis but am waiting to get in better shape for a monokini. If you're very conservative, a monokini would be a little out there for you, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Have you checked out Victoria's Secret? They have a bunch. Women's One-Piece Bikini Swimsuits & Sexy Monokinis at Victoria's Secret.
I think the one-piece monokini/cutout style has been very trendy since at least last year, so they don't really scream porn or 80's anymore.
Honestly, if you're having a hard time finding a good one piece you're just looking at the wrong stores. Lots of the cheaper stores and stores geared toward teens are only going to have bikinis.

I love Land's End. I have a suit that fits beautifully - something I have a very hard time with. I think it was around $70 with some kind of promotion last year.

Esther Williams has a great line of swimsuits, but they are probably at the top end of your price range.

Land's End users - I just looked it up and apparently you can return or exchange an item at any time? Am I reading that correctly?
I have a bathing suit I need to return from last winter..I was too lazy and never got around to it.

Their stuff is: "Guaranteed. Period."
But...without a receipt, you may only get the clearance price on it. If you have a receipt, you can get a full refund, or full-price towards an exchange.

Cool, that's nice. I have the receipt and everything. I bought it at a clearance price too I believe. I should've listened to some of the user reviews. The leg opening was way too tight and I forgot how one pieces make my thighs look horrible.

For lap swimming, I wear a fitness suit, but for regular beach/pool stuff, I think Lands' End Grecian suit is very sexy. I have 4 of them. They normally run about $110, but they clearanced their old colors for $20 last fall, so I stocked up. Rightnow, they're having a 30%-off-free-shipping sale.

I have this one too. It's awesome because it comes in petite AND large cups. Even though it's not underwire, it really holds better than any suit I've ever had.

That is a very nice looking bathingsuit. I would love to find one with a top like that and shorts on the bottom that were a few inches longer than boyshorts.

The grecian silhouette has been very popular at Lands' End for the past few years. It used to come as a tankini and also as a shorts-suit and a skirted-suit. Unfortunately, I only see the tankini in plus size on the site right now, and I don't see either the shorts or skirt versions this season. You could just get a pair of swim shorts to wear over top of the suit. I do that when I go to water parks.

I find this to be infinitely more sexy than two pieces.

I bought a cute pin-up style one piece from Modcloth.com; I'm heavy chested (34DDD) and I have wide hips and a huge butt, so I just don't feel comfortable running around the beach in a bikini. Especially since most tops don't fit me anyway. IDK why bikinis are basically the default now. They're not very flattering.
Modcloth swimsuits.
They have a nice/large selection.
