Default Sylvia Browne told Sean Hornbeck's family he was dead...

Copying from another board:

Quote:
I was listening to the radio today and they said that the Hornbecks went on Montel Williams to ask Sylvia Browne's help in finding their son.

This ***** told them that Sean "was no longer with us" and his body was buried in a wooded area. He was taken by a "dark skin man with dreads". The Hornbecks took her reading seriously and had the police looking in wooded areas for him.

Montel is to blame for this, because he gives her credibility by putting her on his show and all of her readings are garbage.

The website stopsylviabrowne.com has detailed stories from people that she duped and how one person lied to Sylvia about everything to see how she would respond.

I understand that people are looking for answers on how to live life in today's world, but beware of the "seers" and "false prophets". Even I went to see a couple in my day, but always with an "open mind". I never took their word as law.

I'm just surprised that people still believe in this woman and NONE OF HER READINGS HAVE EVER CAME TRUE! ***** is a scam artist. Look how she messed with the Hornbecks. If I was his mother, I'd scream to the world what a fake she is.
Hmmm, I've been telling people for years that she was a scam artist, but it doesn't seem to matter. Because she goes on a national talk show and talks about how "loving and beautiful" the afterlife is, people want to believe her.

Sylvia was probably hoping Sean would be one of those kids that would never be heard from again. Thank God she was wrong.

That is really sad. And sick.

She probably assumed Shawn was dead so it was a safe bet for her to say he was, and continue to make people believe she is psychic.

Absolutely! She probably figured he would never be found again, so it would be okay to say he was dead.

I noticed with her readings that the "villains" always look traditional - scar on the face, greasy long hair, unshaven, etc. Come on? Dreadlocks! For some people, this is another traditional "villain" look.

She makes me sick! :x

I can't stand her, all her answers are so generic. people's body's are always "in the woods" or "in the water" and health problems are always "thyroid" I love watching it when she's talking about spirits around the living and if you look at their faces half the time you can tell they don't have the slightest clue what their talking about.

Not only did she take advantage of desperate grieving people but she also resorted to the old standby of blame someone of another race for a disappearance.... like the runaway bride, Susan Smith and the rest of them.... PLEASE!

I believe there are psychics out there, however I don't belive the true ones go on national television trying to get famous like she does.

Sorry, I was so pissed when I copied it that I typed the way I've always spelled it.

Agreed. I saw one in NYC about 3 years ago. Almost everything she told me has come true.

Is this the boy that was missing for years and was just found? Maybe she mean another Sean Hornbeck

I've watched her from time to time and this one time when I was watching her this girl stood up and was asking about her boyfriend who had passed away and they had never found is body and she was like he died in water and the girl said no he died on 9-11 he was a firefighter that went to the trade center and they never found his body. Sylvia was like I just keep seeing water she even said something like there must have been a bunch of water from them fighting fires in the building and that's where the water was coming from. Yeah whatever

Ah the scam artist struck again! She's such a friggin' con artist! Montel needs to stop putting her on her show already...he's either really naive and believes in her or he figures she'd bring him good ratings. You can tell she was a scam from jump!

Awww, that's too bad. I like Sylvia Brown! Seriously, her long obnoxious talons, and the way she's always trying to suck something out of her teeth - she cracks me up.

I don't see any difference between psychics and religious leaders...they're all telling stuff they don't know for sure, taking money for unsubstantiated information, manipulating and playing on people's fears and hopes, etc.
