New Jersey tanning mom denies charges of child endangerment

I don't get it. In her photos, she looks tan, but not that dark. In the video, it looks like she has a TON of bronzer or some other too-dark-for-her makeup on. Regardless, she shouldn't even be bringing her daughter with her to a tanning salon.
Oh dear god. What a freak. She honestly looks at least 64. And I'm being generous.
I don't have a problem with people wanting to tan (everyone has their.."thing")..but this just seems so extreme and terribly unhealthy. The lady literally looks like she's wearing blackface as well.

It's obvious she has some things going on mentally that aren't good. It's sad if she's bringing her small child into this mess..her little girl is very fair. So it wouldn't surprise me if the mother was trying to get her tan.

I'm still holding out hope this is a hoax.

I don't think it's a hoax but do think some folk have been doctoring some of the photos out there.

First picture on the right looks like it was either photoshopped or there was a lighting issue. The last one does too, come to think of it.
I don't think so, Medussa. Those are video stills from clips that aired on the news. She looked exactly like that on TV too.

That whole thing disturbs me.

I have 2 co workers who look like this woman. One is 46 and the other is 28. They both tan in beds all fall/winter and lay out using baby oil mixed with iodine in the spring/summer. They believe it gives them a nice, natural looking hue. It doesn't. I also went to high school with a girl who had to have a face lift at 24 because of excessive tanning. She looked 50 at 19. She hit up every single tanning salon in town, 6 days a week, and laid the maximum time in each bed. She was eventually found out and banned from them.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Seriously...girlfriend is char broiled! She makes me want to slather on the 90 SPF.

Her daughter is precious with her lovely red hair and pale skin! I hope she doesn't end up following her mother's horrible habit.

Eek. This really disturbing, then it makes me laugh, then I feel guilty because this woman must have deeper issues. Sad. Maybe all this publicity will make her see she has a problem if she doesn't already know that, and get help?

I saw the video and I still don't get what happened in the time between her mugshot and the interview that made her look like that.

Blame it on the cell phone...

they use fairly bright lighting for mug shots in order to get all facial features, including scars and colour variations.

it can really wash out a person's skin tone.

I always tell my sunbathing friends to put on sunscreen. I keep reminding them that it ages their skin and makes them look like an old lady by age 30. I'm going to start showing them this picture of this woman. Haha!

I love when she says "like I would bring my daughter in to a tanning booth.. that's just not normal!

Of course she is suspect, even if she is totally innocent. She looks like she's lost some serious brain cells in that bed. Not only her lack of ability to see how obviously horribly unnatural she looks, but also the health implications of what she is doing to herself.

It's not out of reach at all to suggest she would do this to her daughter, though after seeing her interview, I believe she did not.

Sad.
