Just come in for a sec and check this woman out....

It was before your time: '92-'96.

I still miss the food there (Chicago, not N.U.). Watching menus be thrown at customers at Mothi Mahal on Belmont; hearing other patrons be sick in the ladies room at Ann Sather's; waiting outside (yet again) for Penny's Noodle's to open; eating giant burritos in West Town while trying to distract my brother from the mice running back and forth before the jukebox.......

Sigh.

It was a culinarily rich time in my life.

Are you a lifer, born and raised there?

Actually, that was my punkier era, so maybe we passed each other on the street in Wrigleyville at some point. I was the one in plaid tights & combat boots, with hair that was part shaved and part purple, going into Metro for a ska show or into the Annoyance Theater to catch a late-night.

I'm a lifer, all right.

And, just so I don't get modslapped for straying too far from the topic:
Yay, fashion ladies on scooters rule it!
The best revenge is living well. The second best revenge is fire ants.
I was the one in a green dress and weird shoes, walking really fast with a thin man wearing a goatee. There may or may not have been a big black poodle with us.

I would have been too fearful to ride a scooter in Chicago traffic, though I often walked miles to avoid entering a crowded bus. When I read about LSD closing with traffic still on it, I could not imagine the chaos. And I still can't believe that the cars towed when the snow melted did not receive unfair fines or tickets.

I wore skirts while riding my scooter.

It's probably just a fashion shoot. Form over function. Look at the Gaussian blur. Definitely photoshopped

I want a Vespa

Scrills, how can you tell it's photoshopped? I just assumed a shallow DoF was used. You have a very good eye if Guassian Blur was indeed used on that image.

Frau, I agree. That's a really cool shot. I like it.

She she a fancy new camera and took a personal photo class and now stands corrected.

Riding my cute red scooter around town in a sassy manner is literally the one thing I miss about being single. My helmet had flame decals on the sides, oh yes it did.
