Yes, I know I'm 34, but I'm going to prom and I need a dress. Actually, I need 2

- Second Chance Prom - a friend is a DJ at the radio station and they are hosting prom the House of Blues later this month

- I am going to Chicago with my friends and I want a new dress to wear. I figure I've been working so hard I deserve a treat.

I've checked the usuals (Express, Arden B, Bebe, Forever21, HM), nothing good.

While I'm at it, I could also use a great maxi dress

- prom
- Party
- Maxi

Any suggestions?

i'd pick from one of these: anthropologie dresses
my broke behind can't afford any of those, but i think they have a wonderful selection.
i find that if you just kind of quickly look at anthropologie dresses they may just look like ugly plain dresses, but if you take a second you can see that they can be quite beautiful with a great fit.

This always sounds like an old lady option, but if you have a Dress Barn near they have some really cute things. It's been a while since I've been in one, but I was surprised at the cuteness.

I seem to recall that when I met you, you're the one who turned me on to purple eyeshadow to bring out the green in my eyes, because you were wearing purple eyeshadow and had very pretty eyes.

Sooooo, consider buying a mauve, lavender, purple or green dress to complement your eyes. If I was hallucinating and you weren't the person who suggested purple eyeshadow - just don't wear black. The LBD is so boring already.
